called but didn't leave a vm

I receive many calls from this number, I called back yesterday and was upgraded to a line for the deaf, then the phone appeared as a number that was not working.

they called said i won 7,000 grant

This number is a scam when you try to call it back it says this is a non working number

This number called 5 times.

Yes, same here. They said that I won a $7000 grant from the U.S government and when I asked where they're calling from, they said "Chicago". That is definitely not a Chicago area code.

I'm a Private Investigator. I have received several calls from this number. Now, I'm done. After running the number through several databases I have access to. Here's the scoop. It is registered to
Holly Jo and David Muransky located at [removed] , East Palestine, Ohio 44413.
Maybe we all can send a letter to them in invade their space and offer some annoying bogus rewards. Who's with me?

Hopefully, no one!  These calls are "spoofed"  meaning you would be harassing the wrong people!

That number is being "spoofed" by the usual crowd of Pakistani, or Indian, scammers that we deal with here all the time. You've now placed some ones name & address on a public forum. I hope, for your sake, that you're smart enough to ask the Admin. to remove it. I know that I'll be doing so.
Your dream of ever being a P.I. will never come to fruition if you don't first learn to think before you speak. Good luck with that...

Hey Manix, you are not much of a PI if you are on websites and asking for help.   Maybe PI stands for "Pretty Incompetent'?

Pretty sure you are violating some kind of privacy law with this. Don't P.I.'s have like a badge number or something. How about you give us YOUR information so we can double-check you're as legit as you CLAIM to be. So name, phone number, address that's NOT a P. O. box, website if you have one, any of your credentials that you have to have for your business.

You aren't a Private Investigator, you are a teenager trying to make yourself look big.

Legitimate Private Investigators would forward this information to the police department of their own city, to then be forwarded to the police department that has jurisdiction in that alleged area, for an investigation.

If that home is served by copper landlines, any criminal-minded person could wiretap into the phone circuit(s) that serve that home and make illegal use the circuit(s).

Two other possibilities
- you are a shill for the caller.
- you are the caller and you are trying to grief the people that live at this address

Seven complaints in four weeks is a very low-volume scammer - but quite possible if the scam isn't the content of the call because the purpose of the call is to fake the phone number.

OMG!. Well Mike, I'm a real private investigator. While some information you posted MAY be accurate tells me you may have some level of access to personal information (VERY SCARY). If I were your boss you would be fired. Or your state regulatory agency would revoke your license. That move was highly irresponsible.  Pull you head out of your ass. My guess would be if I'm correct, your a novice at best. You do that in this business your gonna end up in jail.
