- UPSET replies to Errie| 1 replyWHY CAN'T WE GET THESE ANNOYING NUMBERS BLOCKED FROM OUR PHONE
- FedUpThey keep calling, but when I say Hell... No one will answer. Then they hang up!
- VancouverVery rude, I asked politely how to be removed from their.... and the guy hung up on me. Just ignore those calls where the caller ID is obviously fake. If it's important, they'll leave a message.
- Caller: Credit card offer

- liano answer. call came to my cell phone. ALl of a sudden it's telephone spam?
- Kris replies to UPSETThis # keeps calling my cell, and there is a way at least if you have Nextel or Sprint to block these calls. It's called a call filter we should all find out from our phone companies if they have call filters and our home #'s we can all set up telemarketing block.
Good luck at least I don't have to deal with these calls anymore. - LI got a call from these people within ten seconds of activating my phone. I didn't pick up. The area code (234) is from Ohio, I think.

Said they've been in business for 15+ years, but the website was registered on Jan 3, 2009.
When I declined to give them my AmEx account number and the 800 number for Customer Service "so we can call them while you're on the line" (shouldn't they already know this?) AND the PIN printed on the front of the card (RED FLAG!), they put me on hold and got "the manager" on the line - the hard-sell guy that tried to talk me into giving up the info.
If you're someone from this company checking your Google hits - well, shame on you for preying upon people! - Phone GuyJust wanted to drop in my two cents. I manage a VOIP phone system for my company and "I" could simply enter this number as the outbound identification. The phone company DOES NOT control caller-id in many instances. Legally you must provide either correct information or present as a blocked ID, yet it's VERY easy for scam artists to pick out the number 1-234-567-8900 and masquerade as this number. The people posting in this thread are probably posting about hundreds of different companies who are faking the same caller ID. Best way to handle this, NEVER EVER give out any personal information over the phone as anyone could just as easily spoof a number you trust.
- POatfakesnumbersThey called my number around noon and a recording came on saying to reduce my credit card interest to press 1 to talk to agent, or 3 to be removed from list. I did press 3 the time before this and and it seems it didn't work so I pressed 1 this time and got an actual person. He started right in asking if I had a debt of at least $14,000.00 but I didn't give him a chance to finish and In a strong voice i said to take my number off their list and never to call my number again. He started to reply to that but I didn't give him a chance and hung up on him. Now we'll see what happens. By the way, this number was from Salem, Ohio provided by Sprint.

- Alien GuyCalled about "business grants". A pre recorded voice, of course notifying me that my business is eligible for grant money.

- Work PhoneI continue to receive calls from this number at work. Mostly it's to extend the warranty on my car, that expired 5 years ago.

- hate themThe calls from this number inbound to us are ramping up lately. We do not answer the call but it is very annoying to run to the phone to help a client only to find out it's a phone spam ...
- sharThis is the credit card rate caller. I have asked several times to be taken off the list. They hang up if you tell them that. Why isn't this company being looked into?
- Call type: Telemarketer
- GrahamGot an automated message at work from 1-234-567-8900 about some credit card expiring soon. I have had the same message on my voicemail at home about 2 times per week, so I decided to press #1 to speak to the service rep. When she pigked up, I told her I didn't appreciate the automated messages and to please take both phone numbers off of their list. Her exact words to me, just before she hung up, were "Sir, I'm going to lie to you. Poof - You are off the list." At least she was honest!

- Northern OntarioThink they've called twice now...yesterday there was a message from a "credit card" company. I know its crap...
