I just got another call reduce intrest on my credit card and no name why do they getaway with this?

Call from 1-234-567-8900, Nov 15-08, voice recording from Rachel, asking to take advantage of reducing rate of interest on credit card. Press 1 to speak to an agent and 3 to have telephone number removed. Previous call same thing and pressed 3, this did not stop caller. Pressed 1, transferred to a live person identified from J. P. something? and asked the number calling from. I asked them to stop calling and hung up. I guess we'll see.

Got the same call. After reading your posts, I think they must have good reasons to act the way they do. I mean no one would try to sell anything in such a strange way. It seems to me they don't want to sell us anything but instead use every bit of a second of our phone line. Why? I don't know...

I received the call from this number 2345678900 un week ago, I could not understand clearly what it was about in the begining of the message, but I just they said something about registration. I tried to check this number in internet because I was affraid.

This number called today, claiming to reduce the interest on my credit cards. When I asked what information they would need he stated,"first,middle initial,last name, address and phone numbers".Without giving any info I then asked what would be the next step in which he stated,"we would call my bank in order to confirm the amount of debt I have on my credit card". I asked,"who would lie about how much debt they have"? This is definitely a scam so don't succumb to it.

called about credit card no one came on the line when I pressed 1 to talk to anyone on the other end....

Call received 2:45 pm about CREDIT CARD deal..no one talking other end hung up SCAM................

got call from this number and it was an automated mess. On saying that my credit card was ok but they could offerd me a better cheaper interest rate so: I pressed #1 as instructed and the jack ass who answer hung up on me!!!!!! How rude ! That is why I whanted the phone # to tell him off

If the threatened your life, you could do some legal action against them.

This time it said Caldwell... then my tone defeat (to stop outgoing message 4X pressing *) cut it off.

HELP! I gave them my name, my address, my bank name and my tipe of credit card / MC, visa or .../. Now I relized it was a mistake. Please, help me! What can they do? How can they take advantage of this info?

just receive again this call.  did not answer.  They left a message . saying to press 1 to lower my interest rate. !???????!!!!!  what is this thing.. they keep on calling.. since the last 3 weeks they called every week :S grrrrrrrrrrrrr!!

They continuously call my house, and the line just crackles. This isn't the only number that makes these useless phone calls

I have had several calls from this number this past several weeks.hat was essentially a useful service-----the telephone---- is fast being reduced to an annoyance.Perhaps my approach may help others----If my Caller ID shows "unknown name" I play the "unanswer game" Dont bother because it is not an urgent call and it is not for YOUR benefit.So why waste your time and effort and energy unless it is to use a high-pitched whistle!

No, I didn`t give them my credit card number, just the type of it, I mean - Master card. They asked what was my cradit card balance. I sad that I wasn`t sure, probably under 100.00, they sad: "Thanks, but you don`t qualify. We help only people with credit cards for 5000.00 end over" And she hung up.
