- Really PissedOffSame pattern as for many others, got a call while I was at work; they left a message for some credit rate or something.
It seems to be impossible to get off their list, but is it possible to put specific phone numbers on it?
I think if some influent people's phone number was on this kind of list, the law would probably change very fast...
If anyone know how to do this, please SHARE!
I was thinking like the top management of several phone companies...- Caller: ?

- ChipReceived a call from this number twice. First time, it stated it was to lower interest rates and to press 1 to talk to an advisor. I hung up as I found the number to be a trick (1-234-567-8900). They called again today and my Mother answered the call and she did press 1. The guy answered and told her that he could lower her interest rates. My mom asked him who he was calling for and he answered you. He was not professional at all. I am now worried aout everything that I have read. I will be calling my long distance company to be on the safe side.

- lili63Just got a call from 1-234-567-8900
It was a last offer to lower my interest rate on my credit cards.
They said they needed to have my address, all my credit cards numbers and the amount that was not paid on them.
I answered that I was not giving these personal information and put the phone down.- Caller: none
- AliI just received this call and HOW ANNOYING. I am on the do not call list, but apparently that doesn't matter.
It was some recording telling me to call them ASAP to lower my interest rates. Clearly some scam to get your information.
TO ALL OF YOU: ENSURE THAT YOU ONLY CALL THE NUMBER ON YOUR CREDIT CARD, OR SEE YOUR BANK TO LOWER YOUR INTEREST RATES. If you don't you will have your identity stolen.
Buyer beware!- Caller: Did not say

- FredFor now, I guess the best thing you can do is answer the phone but don't say anything. Just walk away and leave them hanging. Hopefully their calls will cost them some money.
- ERNESTANSWERED PHONE BUT NO REPLY FROM THE CALLER. ANOTHER DUMB MARKETING SCHEME NO DOUBT.
- Me| 2 repliesI just received a call from 234-567-8900 and when I pressed "1" I got a live person and he said the name of the company was National Financial Advisors. I googled that name and came up with nothing; however, when I did an advance search I got the following:
NFA Group Inc
1180 Center Point Dr.#200
Henderson, NV 89014
Toll Free: 888-800-7951
These are the people who are calling. I told the operator that when I asked the guy to repeat the name of his company he hung up. How stupid is that? How can you sell your product if you are ashamed of the company you work for and don't want people to know who you are? So here is who they are.- Caller: National Financial Advisors

- AnnI receive a call from 234-567-8900 at least 2x a day. The recorded message, Rachel, says that my credit is good and I can borrow money from them. A couple of weeks ago I followed the prompt and pressed 3 and low and behold I was connected to the MTS. I asked what MTS stands for and the guy at the other end was very rude and told me that it was the Manitoba Telephone System and hung up on me. Today I decided to do *69 to find the #. Don't know why I'm getting these calls in Canada. I wish that whoever these people are that they would get a life.
- cfort| 2 repliesAppelant de l'Ohio. Message électronique en anglais dont je ne comprends rien. Je ne veux pas qu'ils me rappellent parce que je ne sais même pas pourquoi ils le font.

- Onicalled 7 times in the course of 1 HOUR - real cute, using a blatantly phony number so no one can trace it back to them...dirtbags

- annoyedI get too many annoying calls, but this particular one I received this evening differed in that they responded to my hello in a foreign language. It sounded middle eastern/arab. It wasn't european, asian, nor spanish. Needless to say, I haven't a clue what they said nor do I know if it was a recording.
- melanother missed call, no message. 11/3/08 @ 8:51 PM
- AndyG| 2 repliesAsk to call and validate my credit card account that is close to expire. I have no other credit card than the Visa with my bank. The call is not
from Visa. This is second time they call. First time they proposed a reduction on my credit card interest rate. All is a pre-recorded message.
I want this to stop. Can you help me? - WilfredI get a call from them once in a while. The messages they leave, when they leave any, don't make any sense (something about lowering my rate). I would really like to see some action taken against them...but again, who are they ???
- Homer replies to Me| 1 replySo why would they be spoofing an Ohio number? You can't even be sure your 'research' is accurate as they are just 2 bit scammers that have no need for a company name.
- Homer replies to cfort| 1 replyWhat? This is America....speak English.
- p+2348081270349 - This number has been calling my other half a lot recently - the same sort of story as the other number on here - nobody answering when she picks up. She did however try calling back and got nothing, and also tried sending an sms message back to it - she got an answer a while later saying something like: Hi, my name is xxxx I am calling from Nigeria and would like to know you more...(I cannot remember the name). I don't think it is really about that - like the rest of you I think this has something to do with stealing identities so I WOULD BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU DO WHEN YOU SEE +234 NUMBERS CALLING YOU. Probably best to leave it ringing if you notice the +234 and let it go to voice mail. If you don't get a message you don't need to care, and if you do just ignore it. Oh, and I checked the international dialling codes - probably why some of you have said it didn't sound Asian or english etc, is because that is the number for Nigeria... land of identity theft - and one of many reasons many companies refuse to business there. Just be careful!5
