Report to telephone authorities as illegal call.

I actually picked up - person knew my last name and when I said yes, they said, "oh, good" and hung up.

Both my daughter and I answered on different phones - caller didnt say anything but didn't hang up right away either. Called his number back and got voice recording, sounds like a smoker .

Notify the FBI of this scam. If what the police told you was true and they have no such knowledge of any drive than the individual is attempting to defraud yourself and other people. You can find the number for FBI in your local phone book generally near or with the emergency contacts in there.

The number belongs to a fund raising organization that is raising money for either Cape Coral of Ft Myers Police Dept.  I can't remember which..  They called at 12:12 PM on Sat. Mar. 26, '11.

Caller called me also Dis 3 Police and Asked "what is this for"... and he sais Sorry I dont understand you, you cant speak english. lol?3:20 p.m creeper...

Telemarketing scam. Horrible people.

Called asking for my elderly Mom.  Said his name was "Dave Nelson"  Asked what the call was in reference to and told him I screen my mothers calls.  He replied with "So she has a secretary now?"  He was very rude and disconnected after waiting for my Mom to pick up. If it was for the F.O.P. then they need to get rid of this wise guy.

No idea and they leave no message.  Since going on the do not call register we receive more of these types of calls.  What a mistake to register with the DNC!

Called my cell phone.....Caller asked for my Husband...the phone is in my name...and there is no way anyone would know to ask for my husband by name...as it's not tied to the phone....when I said "this is his wife" they hung up...

Scam call soliciting funds for Ft Police Dept, they do not endorse. Just don't answer and set there number in your blacklist so they are dumped immediately or you can put them in your  not authorized to call this number.

Its the FAKE fraternal order of police scam.
