This number, and another called. This one said Injured American Veterans. The other number was 442-243-5017 and the caller ID read "Warranty Claim." I didn't answer, but I called them back and both numbers have the same automated response system. I selected to be put on their do not call listing. I'm sure that didn't work. But that's ok. Blocking these numbers don't seem to help as it would seem they spoof the caller ID information to show a number that they may not necessarily be calling from. I wish our elected officials would do something about this. But that's probably some wishful thinking right there.

Robo caller trying to get money for those poor injured veterans.  First, I am a vet and I understand what these folks are going through.  Second, when the robocaller replies with uh-huh, time to just say NO, hang up, and block that number.  Save yourself the intermediate steps and just block the number in advance.  Scammer-be-gone.

If P. O. has done so much for veterans, why are they getting such bad care at the V.A.?  And, why has the military been emaciated by his administration?

A bot with programmed responses.  I asked bot to prove he was a person and response was "Do I sound that bad today?"  Whoever pushes the buttons to give responses is an absolute idiot.  Caller ID said INJURED AMERICA.  If they're injured they should probably see a doctor rather than bother us.

1-240-245-9499 just called.  Caller ID shows Injured America,  asking for donations to help injured Veterans,  if they send an envelope  would I send a donation,  I told him "no-I am supporting my own Veteran here at home already" and he hung up without saying anything else.  I know of Wounded Warrior,  but now an Injured American asking for money??!!!  Rude also.  Has to be a scam...

Said it was Veterans.  I hung up.  it upset me because the ID was for Dale Glenn MD.  Thought it was a call from a doctor.  I am dealing with medical issues and by the call portrayed it was a doctor, was alarming.  It should be illwgal to use a doctor name

Congress has the power of the purse. Maybe you should ask the Republicans, who control both hoses why they refuse to provide adequate funding for the veterans and the V.A.

Caller ID read "Injured America".  I didn't answer, and the robocaller gave up after 3 rings.  I wish I could block all these scam numbers, but my phone company (Century Link) only allows 25 numbers to be blocked at any one time.  WHY?  I filled that quota years ago.  With todays technology we should be able to block an unlimited amount of numbers.  I'm as annoyed with the phone company as I am with the scammers!

The WORST thing you can do to deter these dirt bags is to answer your phone!  Once they know your number is a working number, you'll be deluged with calls from these scammers.  Don't tell them you want your number removed from their list, and don't press any buttons to opt out.  The best way to discourage these types of calls is to get a call blocker or call blocking phone and block their number after the first call.  They will either realize they've been blocked or be fooled into thinking they've reached a non-working number and will stop calling.

Found the web site for Injured American Veterans here:  http://www.injuredamericanveterans.org/  They claim to be a 501(c)(3) organization that's part of the Healing Heroes Network, but their site is really cheesy and looks like it took all of 15 minutes to create.  The only useful information on the page is a link to the Healing Heroes Network and a toll-free phone number to call for more info.  Charity Investigator reports that in 2012, the Healing Heroes founder and his wife (the treasurer) both made six figure salaries, and 89% of donations pledged went to "professional telemarketers" to generate donations.  That doesn't sound like a non-profit to me!

According to the official IRS web site they're not a registered 501(c)3 – at least under the name "Healing Heroes Network": https://www.irs.gov/Charities-&-Non-Profits/Exempt-Organizations-Select-Check
