This phone number called my land line and I answered, but no one said a word.  I hung up.

3 rings and then hung up.
Blocked the number and reported the call to the FTC.

Same thing with me today.  Weird

Called me Sat morning at 10:20AM. Caller id shows: Gaithersburg MD, and the phone #.
More spammers.

I just got called by this number, also. It looks like a new spammer number, making the rounds...

Just got called from this number. Answered on the first ring and heard the automated switch transfer tone. Immediately entered the two key code to add this to my call blocker just as a guy in a call center said, "Hi?" To be followed by hearing the line cut by the blocker=)  Three weeks after buying it, I still say it's by far the best $80 I've spent on Amazon!

Reporting these jokers to the FTC does nothing!  In this case, it's a call center for numerous donation scrubs. They work on behalf (and are paid for by) non-profit orgs that entitle them to be as EXEMPT from Do Not Call as ANY politician or pollster.

If you want to report them, call your Congressional Reps in D.C. and demand they fix the Law that was usurped by special interests and do it every time you get called by these soulless entities. Or better yet, offer up THEIR office and home phones to these donation hounds when they call;-)

The phone rang 2 times and stopped before it was answered.
The called ID says "Gaithersburg, MD".

Received a call from this number at 7:30pm on a Saturday. Gaithersburg MD showed in the display. I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message. I will add to my call block list.

After a few clicks on the phone a man asked me to donate to (in his words)the [***] kids of America. I told him to take me off his calling list. He then said [***] kids need money to. I told him to stop saying the R word and i hung up.

Same as Buckeye: Called at 7:29 on Saturday evening. Came up unavailable on caller ID. Answered and there was no one there. Will add to block list. These spammers need to get a life!

My husband got the call. Some organization collecting for charity, in this case breast cancer. They put pressure on him to donate,  we can take your card,  etc. Luckily I have him trained to never give out his card and tell them to mail information and hang up.

This is a scam. First off, the call is being routed from outside the U.S. to disguise their true identity. Second, as you see in the previous comment, they were collecting for breast cancer. Today they called me for supporting U.S. veterans. Scammers often change their stories from day to day or week to week.

Caller hung up part way through my answering machine's outgoing message, resulting in a busy signal being recorded.

To any caller: If your identity is "unavailable" on Caller ID, then unavailable to you is what I am.

same thing, called, thought it may be my sister from MD, so I picked up, nothing there.  

Really glad I registered with the "do not call" folks, another feel good government program that does nothing, probably pays tons of money to someone to manage the "do not call" website.

Apparently a computer generated call. I answered and said nothing, after 10 seconds the call disconnected. The computer was waiting for a voice. I answer all unknown calls that way.

This number called me, I picked up and heard nothing and then I heard something but I was not listening and hung up.  I love these calls.  I was playing slots and listening to what they, he, she or whathaveyou talked.  

Can I ask what you bought from Amazon? $80 sounds like a cheap alternative to these incessant calls. Thanks.
