- C. Fowler| 3 repliesDanielle from Student Help Assistance left a long message about Federal student loans and me being eligible for forgiveness. I'm not, so it is probably a scam. The call back number was 855-597-6777, but I did not call back.

- MarkG replies to C. FowlerI got a call from "Danielle" as well saying the same thing. I never applied for a student loan forgiveness, so am fairly safe to say it is a scam.
- StellaI've had the exact same issue. Call from Danielle asking me to call 855-597-6777, but calling from (424) 297-2368, telling me I'm "pre-qualified" for student loan forgiveness or forbearance.
Unfortunately, you will NEVER be "pre-qualified" for any sort of student loan forbearance or forgiveness. It is a lengthy and in-depth process involving sending in tax documentation, and speaking to both a college bursar employee and a representative from the federal student loan program *at the same time on a conference call*, among other things, in order to qualify. I had to do a forbearance several years ago, and believe me, there are a lot of hoops to jump through before they okay anything.
This is absolutely, certifiably, a giant scam. Apparently a very effective one. Which sucks because the only people who actually qualify and, therefore, might fall for this (because it's initially convincing) are either in poverty and/or disabled, and are obviously already dealing with quite enough hurdles in life without having their money and identity stolen by these amoral thieves. It's preying on those at a disadvantage, and it's reprehensible.- Caller: (424) 297-2368

- JenniferGot the call from Danielle with the student loan forgiveness center this morning, call came from 440-586-6906 but asked me to call back 833-208-2737. Wanted upon call back to reference my file number. We do have student loans so sounded good, but good ol' internet search first does seem like its a scam.
