- MaryCaller states he is from Johnson Electric and is returning a call from the warehouse manager. He states he wasn't able to hear the name on the message.
I said well let me have your name and number and I will have them call you back.
He gave his name and asked me to hold for the number. What an idiot. I would hate to go to a job each day and have to do this.I guess its better than flipping burgers though because I am sure this guy didn't have more than a 6th grade education.
We have had problems with this scam before ...they go under many company names ....here are a few.
Don't be scammed by these people. They will get a name and they send out product you never ordered.
If you do happen to get the product ...refuse it and keep refusing it because they will keep sending it.

- Office ManagerReceived a phone call from a young female wanting to talk to the manager. She said she was from Johnson Electric and was returning a call to him in regards to a light ballast that needed to be replaced. I told her she was scamming and hung up on her. She called back quite irritated so I asked her if she even knew what a ballast was. She informed me that she worked for Johnson Electric and of course she knew what a ballast was and asked me if I knew what a ballast was. I do, but wasn't going to tell her. I kept insisting that she tell me what a ballast was and she kept insisting on talking to the manager. Since I have a legitimate job and was tired of playing, I hung up

- TJI just got a call from very rude guy. He wanted to talk to a person in charge of maintenance. When I refused to transfer his call, he cussed me and hung up.
- LucyMan called and claimed he was the Fire Marshall and needed to come into our place of business to inspect. I know for a fact that the Fire Marshall himself doesn't do inspections and plus no one ever calls before an inspection, they just show up.
He wanted to know who the Maintenance Manager was. After drilling him for about 10 minutes, and I asked his name which he said was "Jack Redford" and asked his phone number which was a number short. When I questioned the phone number he gave up and just hung up on me. I don't know the purpose of the call, it made no sense....- Caller: Fire Marshall

- Exec AssistantGot a call this morning from 240-786-4646. The caller started the conversation by saying "this is Ron and I was just talking with your head of maintenance, what's his name?" Yeah, like I was going to fall for that one... So I asked him when he last spoke with the person he was asking about and he got flustered. I asked what # our maintenance guy gave him to contact him back and he said "this number", which he was referring to my office phone number. I told him that our maintenance guy wouldn't have given that number out and his response was, "well my secretary gave me this number". He said that he wanted to talk to our head of maintenance about the electrical work being done in the building. Interesting....because we are in the process of downsizing and we are not getting any electrical work done here. Nice try caller. You'll have to come up with a better line than that when you're calling a major financial institution. We're skeptics for a reason. It's called FRAUD PREVENTION!!!

- m. annA man called and asked to speak to our head of maintenance, said he was returning his call. He then asked for our maintenance man's cell phone and I said he doesn't have one. He said he was calling him back about the lighting ballasts he ordered and I said he would not have ordered that. I tried to get information out of him and he did say he was Steve Freeman with Midway Electric. He did not have a phone number because he was on the road but he said our maintenance guy already had his number. He was very vague and hung up after I asked so many questions.
- Caller: Midway Electric
- Jennifer| 1 replySpoke to this guy myself today. He was posing as an electrician. When I explained that my maintenance director was out and that I could not give out cell numbers, he started yelling at me that it would be my fault if he didn't get the part number and things not be fixed today. What a jerk!
I got in touch with the company. The lady who answered the phone was receptive and said she took us off the list. When I explained the situation to her you could tell that she gets many of these calls per day. She sent me to a sales manager "Jason", who listened to me then he starts yelling at me and denying that any of his people would use these tactics. So, I yelled back at him and told him if a sales manager speaks to people this way, then so do salesmen! Unbelievable! - Jennifer WilliamsThe people at this number have been repeatedly calling although we have asked them several times to take us off their list. They hang up when you tell them the maintenance director is out working on the property. I mean, what maintenance person is sitting at a desk waiting for a scam phone call?

- Keri| 1 replyWe just got a call from this guy too. Said yesterday that he was the electrician meeting from Johnson our service manager out on the job site. When he talked to the service manager he started trying to sell him lightbulbs. He called back today and said that he needed to talk to our service manager. When I told him we weren't interested in anything he was selling, he started yelling at me that he wasn't selling anything and he was from Hanson. I told him not to call back here because I wasn't interested in hearing his lies anymore and he said "whatever" and hung up on me. What a scam!
