Just another felon trying to rob me. The authorities know about this felon but they do nothing. What really pisses me off is the fact that our law enforcers do nothing to stop this telephone crime. Apparently the FBI is using all their assets to investigate global warming. You can report these crooks: I fell for that gag: It’s just a waste of time because the authorities do nothing to stop the caller. I don’t even answer my land line any more: That phone line has become totally useless because of all the criminal callers. I have a call blocker: Yes I fell for that gag too: The criminals just use a different number the next time they call. Caller ID has become useless as well: The crooks simply provide a fake phone number. I have gotten calls that show my own number as being the caller.

Take your complaint to the phone companies.
They are the ones who make it possible for the criminals to call you.
They are the ones who should be investigating these calls.

All Ron can play is one note, and complain.
Ron apparently believes there is no solution to the scam phone call problem other than FBI intervention.
However, it is not the FBI's job to stop calls ... particularly when they originate overseas.

Ron is not even aware of the current actions underway, with FTC and major communications companies, with a report due in October.

Perhaps Ron should go "off the grid", and communicate via carrier pigeon and smoke signal, rather than correctly employ the tools we currently have.

But. this is the Internet ... and Ron can spew whatever disinformation he wishes ... right?

Oh ... note that Ron's post contained NO useful information, such as identifying the caller or the purpose of the call, so other folks could benefit or avoid any potential scam.

My phone number is a 248 number but I moved to Texas a while ago so I know any MI number that isn't in my contact list is usually spam so I didn't answer.

"Hi this is Cindy from Florida Getaways, I'm sorry I didn't understand you. Sorry to have bothered you today" end of message.

Just got call. Seems to me if the phone companies and government can monitor the calls and emails all around the country they should be able to do something with the hundreds of crooks that cost taxpayers millions of dollars to try to keep from being targeted. I don't think it is a technical problem as much as a lack of enthusiasm on the part of the carriers and the government.

No message left blocked the number will continue to block all unknown numbers. Getting rid of the landline to many crank calls.

Got a call from this number today. I didn't answer and they left no message.

Recording of a female claiming to be from a green something survey, probably because surveys can be exempt from do-not-call lists, but it is only a tout for cruises.  I hit the big red BLOCK NOW button on my call blocker and also entered the # on my cell phone as ''spam.''  My rule of thumb about telephone advertising is that if they are underhanded about flouting the DNC list, they will be underhanded in their dealing with me, so no dice.
