Got a call saying debit card was de-activated.  Press 1 to re-activate.  I pressed 1 out of curiosity and it asked me for my 16 digit acct number.  Gave it several bogus numbers and kept saying invalid.  Also just let it set on the line for S&G.  Automated voice just kept going round and round until it finally dropped me.

Also received a call from this number saying my debit card had been lost and to press 1 to speak with their security personnel.

    I didn't do it!

Just received a call from this number as well. It told me my debit card was deactivated and select #1 to reactivate it. I went ahead and pressed 1 but did not give them any numbers. Thought I'd try to get a customer service rep but kept getting the pre-recorded message. I think it's a scam. DO NOT enter your account information.

Recieved a call this weekend (5/26/2012) by this number.  Same scenario as described by others.  Of course they try to do this over the course of a bank holliday when they know you won't be able to reach somone in person at your branch.

Always talk to a live person when you get these types of calls and don't call the number back that you see on your caller id display either.  Call your bank/institution at thier published number.
