Caller id said Southfield, MI

📞🤖 This number, having the caller name of MICHIGAN CALL, called my home phone this morning. The caller left the following partially cut-off prerecorded message from what's likely a SEO company:

(...) Avoid being removed from Google. Please press 8 to be removed from the list.

Your Google Business Listing may be inactive. Immediate action is required. Please press 1 to speak with a representative and avoid being removed from Google. Please press 8 to be removed from the list.

I'll be adding this number to my phone's call blocker.

Caller ID: MICHIGAN CALL.

This number just called the office. One of the many recorded messages about updating one's Google Business Listing played. I spoke to operator Mike who identified himself as being from "Star Light." I asked him to stop calling here. He replied, "You don't want to be on Google?" I repeated my request and hung up.

Last year, we received calls from 248-621-9102, but I never identified the outfit behind them. It makes me curious if those calls came from this company or a different one.

Telemarketer

This afternoon, this number called the office again. Today's operator identified himself as David from Modern Spotlight--not Starlight as I thought I had heard in the previous call. I told David that someone had called form this number almost 3 weeks ago and that I had told that person we weren't interested. David then hung up.

Research of the new company name revealed the following information:

• Company Web Site: modernspotlight (dot) com registered last March through Go Daddy and Domains by Proxy.
• The current contact number on the site is 800-304-3023.
• The entity has two Florida LLC names registered to its current address: Modern Spotlight Group LLC and Modern Spotlight Solutions L.L.C. with each LLC having different managers.

I've reported this number and updated company information to Google and I made a new post in The google listing scams with this new information.
