Someone keeps calling me from this number isn't leaving a message.

Ive gotten two phone calls in the last two days both at 8:50 am one of them being 248-948-0999 the other is 248-948-2848 when I try to call these numbers back they are both disconnected. Im wondering if these are phone hackers.

Got a call at 9:11am from (248) 948-0999 EDT on my cell phone.  Just a hangup.  Called back and got discon'd recording but the tones before the message are not the standard phone company tones.  What moron would go to so much trouble, just to hang up?

Got another call at 13:50 today from this same fake number.

The hangup caller turned out to be the automated billing reminder for DTE Energy (formerly Detroit Edison).

Yes it is from DTE Energy.  That's why I posted that it was in July.  Thanks for the confirmation.

This number called me twice today, at 10:55AM and 12:40PM.  Thanks to the previous posters who informed me that this is DTE.

Received two calls today Nov 7, 2007. I read the past posting but I don't have DTE. Any others suggestions on who it may be? I called back also and like the previous postings.....Number is disconnected. When I answered the phone they also hung up.

I just got the call from 248-948-0999 its DTE calling to say they will be out to read my meter and make sure the dogs are confined. DUH the meter is on the other side of the fence.

It is not any one co. Its a number many co tie to. Bill collectors, sales calls, gas electric co. etc
