Just called. Didn't answer called again. too bad

Called me early Saturday morning and kne3w my last name, told him i was asleep adn he immediately stated that he would call me back.  I tried several times to call the number, but no answer. i ggogled the caller ID name and was given the address of 4400 Government Blvd in Mobile Al.

About 2 years ago, I got the "sob story" and the "please help out the handicap" so I bought a pack of 40 greeting cards for $25-30. After receiving the cards, I started getting calls regularly. Well, I found out from the better business bureau or the mobile chamber, I don't remember, that Southern Handicap is NOT a charity, but indeed has a business license to make a profit. Well, if that's the case why doesn't Lowe's call people bright & early to pester folks into buying something?

James Fowler started again w/the calls in the last few months. IT IS SO ANNOYING!!!! They don't listen to "please take my # off of your calling list" Well, while I wasn't home, they went into the whole song & dance w/my hubby and he was getting ready to commit when the call was disconnected. when 251-660-2832 called back, he didn't answer. Well, they called back the next day and asked to speak to hubby. He's not here. well tell him he ordered some trashbags.
HOW DO YA LIKE THAT? well, the bags will be returned to sender!!!

What can be done about the harassment?

251-660-2832 call from James Fowler. Hung up after 3 rings so is obviously familiar with my answering machine

I've gotten plenty of calls from them but was never around when they called. Next I'm curious to see if it will be a jerk or not. Depending on that will depend on my rudeness back. The 800 number seems to be legit but I don't know. Just people trying to get your money for dollar tree quality junk. Actually, I think the dollar tree might have better products lol. Which says something.

Thank you everyone for the info. I got the call this morning but didn't answer. I am going to block that number. Most phone companies allow you to do that free of charge.

Got a call from this JAMES FOLWER... 251-660-2832 DO NOT ANSWER... Not sure who or what this is... but would like it if this number would stop calling!

I get this phone call with this number and the james fowler muber as well, they call daily....they call late at night and early morning.I don't know what to do I get it blocked and they just call on another number!

Yes , just received a call (female) from James Fowler. When  she asked for my husband I asked who was calling and she hung up. Then I tried calling back :got interupt message that the the number had been changed to an unlisted number????????(strange). So that's when I jumped on the computer and hooked up with all of you. Thank you I appreciate the info.

You've been duped!  It's people like you that keep these scammers going!  Wake up, the worlds not what you think it is!  "A fool and their money are soon parted!"    Never give money to anyone you don't know or can't see them face to face!   Internet and phone call networks are mainly scammers now days.  Did really think they are contacting you to offer a a good deal or selling something for a bogus cause that targets your emotions?   You must be doing well if you have money to throw away!  I hope your family feels the same way!

have ordered from them in the past; quality is not that good.  asked them to call me every other year and they do????  but i sponsor a lot of charitable programs and I am just so tired of these phone calls.  i think when i get my box of xmas cards, they are going back this time....I like helping people, but that is our problem...we try to do the right thing, but then we get all of our blood sucked from our veins....I do cancer, heart, american red cross, my own pro-bono with my business, etc.  Time to focus more on my town and not anyone who doesn't have a website or catalog to order from....they told me the blind people make this stuff...two years ago i ordered the cheapest thing; the kitchen towel set and it clearly was labeled, "made in China"!!! forgot all about them until they just called again....the box is being signed, "return to sender" if you don't open it, you are not responsible for paying for it.

I just got a phone call from the number 251-660-2832. The caller id registered it as "alabama call", I do not know anyone from Alabama but picked up the phone to say hello. The person on the other end of the line, said my name and then said, "oh never mind" and ended up hanging up on me! I will just let called id do the screening for me.

I almost answered because we know someone named James Fowler. I didn't recognize the area code as local so I decided to Google instead and here I am. There must be some way to pull the rug out from under these scammers.

Lori, There is no way that you are legit.  Stop using this site in such a manner that its integrity is damaged.

These people keep calling and never say anything

hang ups!  Early am or late night! Like at 11pm!

I recieve calls everyday from this number and caller ID only lists "Alabama".  When I block my number and call back I get the " this number has been disconnected.."  The phone company says the calls are computer generated.
