Debt collector trying to collect a debt that was discharged 7 years ago in a bankruptcy, told the guy that and told me that didn’t matter, so I said I’ll see what my attorney says and he literally slammed the phone down—scum bag

This guy was trying to collect a debt that was discharged in a 2004 bankruptcy. Not sure if he's trying to scam, or if someone scammed him by selling him a package of discharged debt. Either way, lol

Had a debt sold to them years ago that has since fallen off my credit report.  They still call even though they missed their chance to charge of the debt for tax credit.

Answered only because I have relatives in Washington State.  The guy was trying to collect a debt that was wiped out in 2011 by bankruptcy.  He said that didn't matter and I still owed the money.  I told him I would be reporting his collection efforts on a discharged bankruptcy debt to the Federal Bankruptcy Trustee who oversaw my bankruptcy.  He cussed at me and slammed the phone down.
For whatever good it will do I'm reporting them also to the Feds and my State's Attorney Generals office.
