Received a text from this number asking about a room I had for rent.  They wanted all my particulars but wanted correspondence be sent to aysaralee@gmail.com and not through text.  The person has no idea what city in Canada the property is located and has no intention of renting a room, just fishing for detailed information.  None was sent.

I had exactly the same experience with this particular caller. She texted me and inquired about my room and then wanted all my personal details to be sent at this particular email aysaralee@gmail.com.I had to remove my number in kijij classifieds.

Just been getting emails back and forth from this person. I have a room for rent and was very suspicious from her first email. Thank god I found this site!

I got a similar message and somehow this person also knew my name. The new email address that is being used is aysaralee001@gmail.com

I received a text and an e-mail, she said she works on a cruse ship as a chief, and wanted the price for the first three months and  full address.

That's a lil creepy that she knew your name!

I had a room for rent on Kijiji & they responded to that ad.  I received a text & then corresponded thru emails. They ask for info from you like your address so that they can figure out how much it's going to cost with the movers as they say they are moving to Canada & working on a crusie ship as a chef & they send a pic of some girl with the email saying this is them.  They then sent an email saying that they had to pay using paypal & another one the next day saying they were having an issue with sending money to the mover & said that they would send the extra $882 plus $100 for other charges onto the amount of 3 months rent that they were sending.  I then received an email that said it was from PayPal that said Money has been sent.  I logged in directly to my paypal acct & not thru links.  the email said it would take 3 to 5 business days & when it didn't show up in my Paypal acct I got a hold of Paypal who check the ID transaction # & it was fraudulent.  Good thing I did not use any of my own $$ for anything but I was concerned once they had my name & address so I contacted Equifax & Transunion & put a possible fraud alert on my acct's so that they have to get a hold of me if there is anyone trying to get credit.  I also notified the OPP & the fraud unit as well as should everyone else who gets this kind of thing.  PayPal & the authorities are investigating

I got the same, first a text message from this number then it's all emails. she (sara!) or he wanted my paypal name and email. I asked a friend first and they said it's unlikely to get ripped off using PayPal but I was still suspicious giving the fact that the emails seem to be standard format scammers usually use (bad English, they are willing to pay whatever amount and yes they cannot receive calls!). the email address is aysaralee00@gmail.com and yes it's fraudulent: DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR PAYPAL NAME AND EMAIL TO SOMEONE YOU DONT KNOW AND DEAL LOCALLY.

Good thing I google it, I have the same text and email but the number is different. 1-360-589-5846. Same story work here is the email

I work as chef on cruise ship at the moment and I have limited time to surf the internet and also phone call is also strictly limited due to the nature of my job, but  I will still find a chance to call you. I will like to know the total cost covering my first three months’ rent together with deposit. I will also like you to get back to me with some picture and your full home address for me to forward it to my mover to calculate the total cost of moving my stuffs to Canada. I had attached  picture of myself for you to know me and  I will be waiting to read back from you soon.

I had the same issue she was saying she was coming to Canada. Do you think they can do anything with my email address?

Got the same text message from person named Sara. Her cell number was 360-589-5946. Plot was totally the same. She asked about room I rent out and said that she was chef on cruise. And she will pay 3 months rent thry paypal.

Many thanks for getting back to me again. I am very neat and tidy person that respect humanity and this make it so easy for me to get along with whoever that comes my way in life.I'm originally from Singapore but will be coming to Canada from my last place of employment in Italy. I will be arriving on 10th of March and stay more than a year in Canada working. I will be transferring the rent to you through PayPal and if you do not have one kindly set up an account with them in less than 5 minutes on www.paypal.com. I would have requested for your bank details but for the safety of you and I with giving bank details online, I prefer going through PayPal. I will be so happy to secure the room as soon as you get back to me with the PayPal name and email. I will like to pay in advance through PayPal and my reason is that, I will be presenting the proof of my rent payment to the immigration at the port of entry into Canada.

I got this exact same thing, word for word. Unfortunately I did not find this website first and she got my money. I've never used Paypal before and so I thought everything was fine. Silly me. Now I'm out a lot of money and don't have someone renting out my room!
