Thanks for the comments on this number. Curiously, last evening we got a call from the Foundation for American Veterans at 206-212-0449. Both area codes are in the Seattle area. Neither call left a message. We have blocked both numbers.

I get calls from them frequently. While I support veterans I don;t support any organization that uses 94% of their donations to ask for more.

Got a call this morning from this number 253-244-9324 but caller ID displayed V8061348270006888660 (huh???) which makes no sense. If they really are a legit company, why hide behind some bogus caller ID? Extremely suspect. Did not answer and they did not leave a VM.

Received 3 calls from this number in the span of 4 hours. No messages.

Called at 10:45 AM said they were the Service Center calling about my vehicle ( correctly named vehicle somehow, scary). When I repeated what they said back to them they hung up!

Trying to scam folks into buying extended service packages

This is a scam hiding behind the name "Foundation for American Veterans. The Better Business Bureau has this to say about them:

Foundation for American Veterans reported receiving about $12.2 million in cash in 2013 and 2014 as a result of its fundraising campaigns, according to the charity’s Form 990 reports to the Internal Revenue Service. The documents show the charity paid out about $10.5 million in fees to fundraisers and others associated with the solicitation campaigns.

Those figures show the charity received less than 14 percent of the money raised in the campaigns. Much of that 14 percent went to other contractors, salaries and additional overhead expenses.

The charity reported cash grants totaling $159,000 for the two years, most to veterans’ hospitals in Michigan and Florida. That total is about a penny of every dollar donated.
