I hear you all loud and clear. I have been going through the same thing for two weeks now, and have been on the phone with my provider several times now. I have also called the police three times to see what I could do. According to ATT (my carrier) they could not do anything until I got a police report, but could not get one until the third call when I practically demanded one and typed it myself. I was told it would probably be kicked back. Anyway according to att there are 18 pages of complaints (perhaps they are referring to these pages here) and when I asked why something hasn't been done she wanted to know the same. I have also after two weeks of calls and numerous attempt to get these calls to stop I.E. three times I blocked the same number (somehow it got dropped) and anonymous call block had failed. They got around it with the single number 1. The first tech said they att could not block this number, but the next call, and another call to att tech said it can be so he did attempt to do so; so we will see. I did talk to a lawer tonight and they suggest a class action suit as these people are breaking every law in the book and I, and it looks like most here have done all we can do on our part at least leagaly without one.

This company has been calling me daily, sometimes 7 times a day, often as soon as I answer, they hang up. Other times, they are asking for my sister and saying they are calling about a VA loan. I keep telling them I have not had any contact with her in over 8 years and after I say that, they hang up on me. I have told them they have the wrong number but they keep calling me. I am sick of these calls. I hope you can make them stop!

Have been getting up to 4 calls per day for over 2 weeks.  When I ask them not to call me again, they hang up.  They want to talk about my VA loan and when I told them I do not talk personal finances over the phone to strangers, they told me they would continue to call.  I am on the do not call federal list - but they call anyway.

I have done the opt out thing 7 times now to no avail.  Got 2 companies with that number showing up:

ATT et al does not seem interested in doing anything - am entertaining an attorney since I am on the do not call registry - and I have done the opt out thing 7 times.

I am getting phone calls from unknown phone #'s and they do not leave a message either and this 1-253-246-8553.   I am tired of getting these calls and our telephone rates should go down as we gave our phone # to the telemarkets list so they would not call and still are getting these annoying calls.   I want them stopped immediately.

Ok. So I've read a lot of the same thing, that they call a lot but no one has said how to get the calls to stop. I've gotten them to stop. Listen up and follow one of the following steps.
1) If they call your cell phone. My carrier charged my $5 a month to add "Parental" features. I was able to add the number to my block list. I kept this option on my bill for 2 months then took it off. That was a month ago now and have NOT received another call since removing the feature. $10 for some peace and quiet, deal.
2) You can also set up a call forwarding feature via your cell plan and most home phone plans. Which number do you forward the call to you ask? Their number. Let them call themselves. You'll get all your other calls except for the number (their number) you asked to be forwarded. Most phone services shouldn't charge for this, but I would imagine it depends on your carrier and the type of plan you are in.
Do one of those options. Not some stupid lawsuit that you'll spend more time dealing with lawyers that can't find these people and waste more time on it. Seriously, hiring a lawyer and sueing people no one can locate is not only an idiotic response, it's also unrealistic. Try one of the above steps and you'll be rid of these calls.

Got a call from these thieves today and basiclly thought many of the calls would end after the election, however, when we get full measure of who is running this country and a Atorney General that will do something about these calls, we will have to wait four more years and just deal with these scammer, or worse names I could call them.  Will do what I have been doing for months on all calls, political, scammer, or anyone else, just don't answer the phone.  If they want to talk with me they can leave a message on my answering machine and if it is important I will call them back.  I do hate it though when they call on my cell phone as that number has not been given to anyone and if I every find out that my carrier is selling numbers, they too will be out of my life.

These people called to redoe a morgage, recived paperwork, tried to call them back for direction..all numbers were disconnected

Called my house line 5x today, no messages left, caller ID shows ANNOUNCEMENT, have not answered as it is not a number I recognize.

They are literally calling my cell 15+ times a day and leaving no message! Who is this?

I got two calls.  when i call back i get a message that i am calling a number that is disconnected...  I can hear kids in the background when i hear my voicemail message left.

Annoying person asking for another person in the home and hangs up when asked what the call is about.  It is registering on my caller ID as V04111702560067.  Some type of foreign accent, India or Asian of sorts.  Tired of getting these harassing calls.
