Calls offering 9000 dollars in grant money. For being a good citizen he knew my name and address Indian sounding guy named Patrick gave a supposed grant code of LE143 to go pick up at a western union but first had to call his acct managers number 253-656-4596  then hung up after I started questioning him and didnt give any banking or card info. he stated he was part of the federal govt and picked my number out of 17000 others to give free money id never get taxed on or pay back. Now does that sound like our U.S Government?  yeah right huge scam!

I just received the same call to. I told him he was a scam artists and to stop calling me.

I just received the call from a person who claimed his name was Marcus. Gave the same call back number along with an ID. I was also told I was a good citizen for never having a criminal record. I guess a DWI doesn't count and for always paying my taxes on time. He got that one wrong also. Definite scam. Won't be calling them back.

I got a call first from a woman in Chicago she said I am receiving a grant for $9,000 and she gave me a number to 253-656-4596 everyone I talked too had a accent from England or Spanish or India the man I spoke with last said he was in Washington D.C.  but the area code is Washington state pretty messed up to tell a person in financial trouble that they would get $9000  and it is a scam

Also received this call today October 15, 2014 it also made me nervous and I was very suspicious because I never received soliciting calls on my phone I was told that this was a federal grant that I was entitled to because of the same previous reasons as the other people stated on their comments it made me a little nervous just because I never received soliciting calls from anyone else on my cell phone

I just recieved the call i new it was a scam but wentalong with the cconversation and let the asian man talk and read his script lol

Same call, same script. But im going along with it so far as to figure out why. I dont give out my information, so how does he know it?

I just got the same call twice infact, different people both times, the second lady I spoke with was incredibly unprofessional including statements such as "Shut your mouth." and "F**K you" when I asked to speak to her supervisor, I called the number the first man "Ben" gave me and was told I would be receiving the 9k via Western Union cause that's what I selected but first I needed to register with the Bank of New York and pay a one time refundable fee of $275 to verify I was the proper recipient, why can't they just ask me for personal information instead, I'm sorry but telling someone in a financial situation that they'll be receiving much needed money and but in order to do that they have to pay money they don't have first is kinda ridiculous and sends up more red flags then Lindsey Lohan has Parole officers
