Yeah they called me and it was really obscene considering I'm 17 and only Just got a job? There's no way I owe the IRS money. Nice try! :P

same here...they want someone to call back and give them personal info such as their SSN....scam...

My call came from 413-481-5517.   I did not answer the phone but was left a message to call 253-656-6680.

Same number 253-656-6680, same story. IRS calling yadda yadda yadda.

Same message as previous people.  Call came from (413)688-5577 and asked me to call (253) 656-6680 about my claim.

I just received a call from 253-656-6680. They did not even use my name just we have been trying to reach you your are involved in a lawsuit with the IRS. I'm older but wise. I know this is a scam.

Message on home answering machine, female voice: "This is the Internal Revenue Service.  A lawsuit has been filed against you.  For information on the case, call IRS Department 253-656-6680."  No mention of who is being sued.  Hope no one is gullible enough to become a victim of these morons.

Recd same VM..called that 253# no response continous ring..if it was from.IRS it would had Ivr message for prompts..horrible

You callers are basically criminals.  They are hard core scammer/extortionists and ignore all US laws.  Invest in a call blocker and do not pick up on calls you do not recognize.

They are located in India and Pakistan.  As such they are beyond the reach of US law.

Received an automated call approx. 9:15 a.m. on December 8, 2014, but my name was not mentioned.  Call regarded IRS filing a lawsuit against me.

I too received an automated call telling me to call this number this morn at about 8:20 am. requesting I call the 253-656-6680.  Of course I didn't call, knowing it was a scam.  Can something be done about this # being used?

Received call this morning recorded on my answering machine.  No name of caller, noise in background. The caller they were trying to get in touch with me but could not and they the IRS were filing a law.  I recognized this as a scam and will be reporting it immediately.  

Had a voicemail from this number today stating they were the IRS and that this was my final notice; also that they are filing a lawsuit against me. They didn't mention my name on the voicemail so I figured it was a scam. Isn't it illegal to impersonate the IRS? Hope they catch these people.

received the same message as everyone else here.  the caller id said the call was coming from 684-216-5848.

I received a call on Dec 9, 2014 saying that it was the IRS and it was their final attempt to reach me and that I was being sued.  In a panic, I almost called but decided to look up the number because I never received any other msgs before this on my machine, nor did they state my name in the call, nor was it a 800 #. .   Plus I know I pay my taxes!   I am so glad I looked it up.
