Rec'd message from 253-656-6996 saying it was the IRS and I needed to contact them back.  Called number back and no one answered with no voicemail either - pretty sure it's a scam.

I also received a message from this number with an automated message saying it was the IRS and they are filing a lawsuit against me. The number is a Kent, WA number, and when I called back it was a busy signal. Seems like the IRS would have multiple lines and not be based in Kent.

I answered a call from the same number out of Kent, WA. The man had a very thick accent, possibly Indian. They told me I owed taxes to the IRS and that a warrant was issued for my arrest. When I asked where they were located he answered NY. I asked again and he hung up. I tried calling back and they blocked my number.

Called saying that someone had filed a lawsuit against me. Called them back and informed them to remove them to remove me from my calling list. Then proceeded to say that he did not know what a calling list was, obvious scam.

Received the same message from the so-called IRS.  They left it on my answering machine.  I called back from another line and it was busy.  It's a scam.

I got the same call from an unknown Caller ID, with the same message to call this same number. I didn't try to call back as I wasn't sure where area code 253 was (it is in Washington State, as I queried it online). Pretty sure its a scam; the local NBC station has warned about scams like this from the IRS - they won't call like this.  I am ignoring this message.

I received an automated voice message from this number also saying it was the IRS.  I have received other similar calls in the past and it's always someone with a heavy accent and American name.  It's a scam.

They don’t use IRS anymore now they say they need to check your computer network and that hackers in the system lol 😂 karma karma coming they need Jesus

Number claimed to be a network security from Microsoft. When I returned the lie and said I haven’t owned a computer in 6 months (because it seemed fishy) they hung up

I received a call from them stating I owed the IRS, so I called them back on private spoke to an ''officer Sam Wilson'' and I pretended to be someone else, gave them a fake name and number and they said I owed 5 thousand dollars, but they could not verify what address they sent me the letters to, the man said he could not disclose that information because it was personal, How is it personal if it is my information supposedly. I told him to stop calling my number and to stop trying to scam people!! I hope no one falls for this!! Please be vigilant and more careful with your identity, you just never know these days.
