- Angela| 7 repliesI just received a text on my phone from this number stating that they saw my pics on Facebook as well. They also wanted me to Skype them. I checked the security preferences on my Facebook account and noticed that my personal email and phone numbers were listed. (I had previously removed this information once before.) Check your security settings and make sure that your personal information is removed. Whatever you do, please DO NOT respond to the text or Skype this creeper!!!

- Payback replies to Angela| 6 repliesThats the price one pays for staying on a social networking site. There are all kinds of stalkers roaming through social networking sites.
- xena replies to Payback| 5 repliesI'm on facebook, but I would never put my phone number on there!
- Payback replies to xena| 4 repliesYou can find a stalker offline but online you don't know who is stalking who until you start getting strange phone calls and SMS texts saying Hi, add me to yahoo, I am your friend, I am your friends friend, My phone is dying, etc.
- xena replies to Payback| 1 replyAfter seeing all the threads on here about all these "add me to yahoo", I'm really glad I don't have a cell phone!
- Anon replies to Payback| 1 replyDo not automatically assume its a stalker. No, I'm not saying its NEVER a stalker cause it could be... but given that almost all of these come out the same - "Hi [name], this is [so and so]... add me to yahoo, its [screenname]" "Oh my phone is dying :( add me" etc etc - and are going out to thousands of people, it could also very well be a bot. I've had plenty of random IMs from bots on YIM that are just a bunch of random crap or even links. Sometimes I get them from people I DO know, but their accounts have been hacked.
Basically the point of it is for you to add the "person" and start talking to them (possibly to find out who the heck it is), then they go "you know me, here click this to see a pic!" and the link they give you is nothing more than a virus or trojan loaded page that allows the person behind the bot to get into your computer and access whatever they want. - Payback replies to xenaThe stupid SMS are using up people's texts and the phone calls are using up their minutes. The criminals plan everything forehanded.
- Payback replies to AnonOh yeah it could bots doing it's random rounds, or accounts getting hacked due to weak passwords.
