just called - no one there. Caller ID showed out of area.

Complete silence after I answered!!!

Called few minutes ago, survey: Pro life, Pro choice.  Phone survey......

caller id "Souderton PA". called at 2 pm thursday. left no message. yadda, yadda...... same bs as all the other sammers

267 281-8726.  Warning this is a scam phone the police if you get a call from this number and try to trace the call.

On Wednesday 5/21/2015 at 3:36PM received a call from "267 281 8726 OUT OF AREA"
after 3 rings they disconnected. I did not answer the phone! Most likely a new spoofed number bogus callers are using!
also on 5/21/2015 at 9:25AM received a call from "281 819-3472 OUT OF AREA"
after just 3 rings they disconnected.

I received this a call from this number just a few minutes ago, the same number with a 503 area code (outside Portland, Oregon) has call and return calls yield sames as other comments.  Local phone co. said the 503 number has heavy spam complaints.  Frontier telecommunications.. Caller ID shows Souderton, Pa.

I just received a call from 267-281-8726 and ask if I was pro life or pro choice and I said pro choice she got very PRO RUDE and hung up..lol

Call from Souderton,  PA.  Four rings and no message left.  Now blocked.

Introduced herself by name then quickly started asking questions regarding my stand on abortion. Proceeded to ask for specific dollar amounts of money. Said she was reading a script but became more and more aggressive as I refused her attempts. Watch out. This is not legit.

There is an effort being made by Consumers Union (they publish Consumer Reports). The effort is a petition to hold the phone companies responsible (at last!) for these phone calls since they do not screen scammers and are making money off their harassing telephone robo calls to consumers.

The petition is to the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) to take action to get the phone companies to at least offer free number blockers through their phone system.

Signing the petition is sure to help. Consumers Union has clout because of the numbers.

They called asking about a survey on Pro-Life or Pro-Choice, I said I would not make a pledge period until I did some research or her charity, she kept on playing pre-recorded (sounded close though) requests of smaller pledges, i asked if she was a machine  or a person, she said she was a person, but had a speech impediment, thus she used the pre-recorded requests, i told her, i would not make a pledge over the phone, i got another request, then she said she was with the National Pro-Life Committee - which if you research is a total scam - 5% goes to charity! (95% to fundraising).  Makes me wonder why i ever answer the phone!

Wonderful! I've been trying to get people to complain to the phone companies and FCC for ages. I'm so glad CR has finally picked up the cause. PLEASE, everybody, please sign!
