    Short Mike
Caller ID showed just Wycombe, PA and the number listed above.  I have just turned my answering machine off but the caller ID still captures the number and any other info available.  I think the unanswered calls frustrate these spam callers. Thanks for your info.

I got the same call from the same company supposedly called American Medical Advisors and that they had a new drug for pain that was non-narcotic and was covered 100% by Blue Cross.  He would not tell me the name of the new drug and said he had to read his script which would tell me the name of the drug.  I asked him if he could skip the script and just tell me the name of the drug first.  His response to me was (get this)..."that would be like you standing in the line at WalMart and wanting to get ahead of the people in front of you because you were in a hurry".  I asked him if I called Blue Cross would they know his company and what the details were.  He said "no" because if I didn't have a claim into them they wouldn't know anything about it. I laughed and said ok - read your script but I am not giving you any information.  During the script he stopped and asked what kind of pain I was in. ??? He would not answer my questions and was getting a little beligerent(sp) so I hung up on him and still never found out the name of the drug.

Why did I get this call?  I used to be with Blue Cross, but no more.  This is a waste of time.  Like throwing money down the drain.

The DNC list doesn't stop scammer from calling. All the do (or say they do) is stop legit telemarketers from calling. Which actually doesn't work either. I've been on the DNC list for years on all of my numbers and still get calls from real telemarketers. Also, you never want to call the number back. What that does is let the scammers know you have a legit number. They will now call it more, and give it to other scammers to call. Your best bet is to just look up the number here and then block it.

Called yesterday. The only reason I answered was because it was a 267 number. When I did, it was BC/BS so I hung up. Caller ID says Wycombe, but the IP address shows it on Penn's campus somewhere, with the map showing 38th and Powelton Ave. Another number blocked. Too bad it's a 267 number, I can't block that area code...

Same as the folks who heard the ad for a pain drug. My answering machine picked up that much.
I listened for a bit, but when I didn't respond...to pressing 1 to be the correct age or 3 to allow my insurance to be notified -
    They hung up.

Anything, most everything with just city and state in the ID is bogus. Calling this a prank because all they want is your info.
    Don't give it to them.

I call this the Pain Management scam. Don't press ANY number!!!

"Please do not hangup. This is not a sales call. This is a very important message to all Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance policy holders. The American Chronic Pain Association and the National Center for Chronic Pain Management has issued a serious prescription pain pill alert. In response to the alert, in an attempt to stop the growing use and abuse of prescription narcotic pain pills, Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance has now authorized providing a revolutionary new pain relief medication to all policy holders suffering from physical pain or discomfort. This medication is applied directly to the pain related area and is non-narcotic and extremely effective. This new pain relief solution is covered one hundred percent by your Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance provider at no cost to you, and your pain relief medication can be shipped immediately. The only requirement is that you must be under the age of sixty five. So if you want immediate relief from your pain, and are under the age of sixty five, press 1 now to verify your address and delivery date. Again, press 1 now to arrange your delivery. Press five now to notify your health care provider that you have received the shipment."

Robo call saying if your in pain BC/BS will cover their new drug for free. Wouldn't give me a callback number, he (Kenneth Goodman) said the company is called Health Advisors Network. I kept him on the line awhile since I was doing nothing at the time. When I told him I couldn't find the company on the net he kept glossing over the question. After about 15 minutes and me giving him fake information he finally hung up.
