- SpamNotMe| 1 replyWell these calls are very suspicious. I understand companies sell number databases, but these scammers don’t seem to care that they let you know who sold them they my number!
Block all the numbers mentioned on this thread, of course.- Caller: Not really WellCare

Since there is absolutely no reason for anyone to have to buy a list of numbers then why would you suggest that they do?Quote:I understand companies sell number databases - ARThis number called my phone and left a message for my husband regarding his WellCare account. There is no reason they should have my number. I don’t have a WellCare account. When he called back they started asking for personal information and he said this doesn’t make sense, please email me. They didn’t want to proceed that way so he hung up and called the number on his card.

- TLCReceived voicemail to call WellCare for an important message reg 12675259887 Deposited a new message:
"Hello, this is wellcare, a prescription drug plan. This is a courtesy call for ….Please call us back for an important health message. You can reach us Monday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.call toll free 1-866-327-2455.” I called and got an uneasy feeling noticing the 866 number was now a 267 area code so I hung up and called WellCare’s toll free # and asked if they have the 866# or a 267# area code number and they never use any other number other than the number listed on my prescription card or statement
Also, when I called the actual WellCare number, the number did not switch out in to another phone number that I hadn’t called that seemed very strange- Caller: 267-525-9887
- ALSGlad I came here, too. Left this scam voicemail.

- Youngone replies to GrumpyThanks just got the call and I have a prescription that might need clarifying so still hesitant to respond I was who the automated voice asked for. I didn't and started to follow up on phone number. I'd say scam also.
- KJI just switched to WellCare recently and I got a call from this number just a few minutes ago. They had an "important message" asked if it was me and hung up after I said "yes". It even automated my first name (it's a unique one) with the correct pronunciation. Apparently WellCare is selling our information to third parties. I didn't sign up for all of this extra mess!

- Sue replies to NameI just got a call from WellCare asking if this was me and I said yes and they hung up. Only reason I fell for it is because I’m waiting to hear if a medication is approved. I hope it wasn’t a scam darn! Otherwise I wouldn’t have said anything

- JAI found this pretty suspicious. I unfortunately gave them my name but the confirmation questions got weird. First they asked for my wellcare id number. I didn't have it ready. I told him I'd have to search for it. He said he'd wait. I told him it would take 10 to 30 minutes and he said that's fine and he'd wait. Major red flag. I've worked at a tech support call center. You never wait 30 minutes, especially when I called him and offer to call him back. Not to mention he had a Indian accent. I had a close friend with one so I recognize it. I could hear others with a similar accent in background. I don't think they are in Philly. The call center I worked at used voice-over-ip to change our phone number so we'd be a local number for the state we were supporting. It's probably a spoof number and it doesn't match the wellcare official number either.
