Received a call from "Karen Chin, Professional Event Coordinator." This same number (215-259-0697) displayed on caller ID.  Said she was calling on behalf of Randy Johnston of Retirement Assurance Group, 1516 Mapleton Drive, Dallas, who is a financial planner who is looking to set an appt to meet with a specific estate planner at our firm to see if they could provide each other with some referrals. Gave her direct number as 267-699-1014, and e-mail address kchin@theacef.com; this address goes through The American Consumer Education Foundation. I have no idea who/what/how valid these people are.

CPA firm received call also from James Caldwell.  Didn't know my bosses correct pronunciation of her first name.  That's first clue.  Also said representing a Michael Hall, CFP(financial planner) in our town.  No one I could see when looked up on Google, closest match was 4 hours away.  Looking to refer clients.  We're not accepting anyway so didn't take the message.  (caller ID 267-699-1005)

Received a call from James Caldwell as well as the others above for the same reason.  Wanted to refer clients to us.  How would that even work if they are not even local?? Didn't take message and just ignored it.  Sounds like a scam of some sort.  Plus  I just asked what the call was in regards to so I could get him to the right person, then of course he asks "And who would that be?" so he would have a name...well he got Ben Franklin, that's our code to know a sales pitch is calling us back! :)

Received call from James Caldwell for "a CPA in our firm" - Said he represented Montfello & Associates to refer clients...  Love the Ben Franklin idea from the CPA in Atlanta -- will definitely be using that one!

Northern Calif. CPA firm received this call.  I've had it, so now I pick up after two rings, and quickly hang up to disconnect.  Bad move, as a "James Caldwell" from Philadelphia called back a few hours  later and got my administrator.  Definitely a time waster after reading the above, too many different names, a no show, and Ben Franklin is a great idea.  Said he represented a "Michael Hall" same as above, this time at a brokerage firm in our area.  I called the local office, but the phone answer person said "Michael Hall is not on the list", so I asked what list would that be?  Perhaps a list of brokers in the firm's many offices in several states?  She would not provide any useful information, nor verify anything, even whether or not they were using a telemarketer.  Still sounds like a scam of some sort, and now we are all on the list.  It was another bad move to call the local office, complain and ask to be taken off the list (and not further sold to someone else), as my call shows them that telemarketing works, gave them feedback on the quality of their telemarketer and how to fine-tune future intrusive and harrassing calls.  Brokerage firms should stop cold calling.  CPAs are not a source of referrals to telemarketers.

Received another scam call from www.pro2pronetwork.com "We automate the growth of your practice and a steady flow of referrals by building your Referral Network (sic) for you!  The main goal is to enable you to become the most recognized, most respected, most utilized and most referred to (sic) professional in your town!  You can enjoy exponential growth when you have dozens of local professionals referring clients to you on a regular basis.   Dr. Len Schwartz - Pres/CEO has mastered the step-by-step process to helping (sic) any professional penetrate and then completely dominate their market.  Live support online - chat with us LIVE.  Skeptical?  Learn About Our Guarantee Click Here!  Find out if you qualify to be in the pro2pro network."  "James Caldwell" is the professional-sounding name for the current phone bank person whose job is to cold-call all the CPAs in the area of a brokerage firm, make an appointment for "Michael Hall" to start referring clients, and continue to not tell the truth, starting with their name, address, call-back number, and the CID "HOME".  Inferred that my administrator (my wife) was incompetent for not telling me about "the appointment with Michael Hall" that he was calling back to confirm.  Was surprised to hear "Michael Hall" did not work at the local broker, the same "Michael Hall" who was a financial planner in an earlier call.  Asked him how much he gets paid to lie to me:  "None of your business, not relevant to this call."  Refused to tell me the policy when people ask to have their name and number removed from call (sucker) lists.   Admitted that he did not have the authority to remove names and numbers, and when asked who had that authority, he simply hung up - very rude and unprofessional.  Currently at pro2pro, all boiler-room callers are named "James Caldwell", always representing the same "Michael Hall", regardless of the profession, they will call back if you ignore them, they do not have a DNC list.  Folks, pro2pro is a train wreck waiting to happen, and you are throwing your money away by using pro2pro.  Train wreck, as in dishonesty is contagious.

Not for the Timid:  For those CPAs looking for growth, after getting the name of the broker looking for referrals, quickly terminate the call by saying "Not interested", then stiff pro2pro by calling the broker directly.  This saves the broker money by not having to pay finders fees, and encourages Mr. Schwartz to find meaningful productive work other than intrusive, harrassing telemarketing calls.

As having worked for dr. Len, I can assure you, he replies to Internet complaints towards the company himself or has his staff comment under an alias of some sort.  Please save your time and money. This man is dishonest and a snake of a business man. It is really cold calling and he lies to draw you into the service, take your money, and pay his bills. He pays his employees very little to essentiallu cold call businesses over ans over. I would recommend you put the monthly fee toward retirement or your children's education.

Received a phone call from Pro2Pro network today about the services they offer. I am just a hard working professional looking to increase his income. Is this company on the up and up? Or, is it a scam? I am just looking for honest opinions from people who have used their service.

    Brian,
Just got off a call with a James Tricarico.  Basically a hard sell on their cold calling service and "coaching".  After the call I remember my brother, a Chiropractor, used this guy back in the late 90's when Dr. Len was pitching this service to that field.  In all honesty if you do not have a marketing plan, need someone to motivate you to build your business and set the appointments for you, then this might work. My advice to you is get with a mentor, or join a professional association and network to get ideas and then most importantly, take the first step and plow ahead.

Pro2Pro Network is nothing but a scam.  Len Schwartz is just an excellent con man who can fast talk you out of your hard earned money.  As a former employee I felt uneasy working for this company and knew something was not right with the services. All the remarks in "anonymous" post are correct.

Don't do business with Dr. Len Schwartz or any of the business, if you want to call them businesses, that he owns. As others have mentioned before he is a scam artists. The whole Pro2Pro business model was a lie. He would get clients in the door by telling the he had professionals ready to refer clients to them. Once they paid over 6k to join the service, he would have his call service start reaching out to professionals in the area telling them the exact same thing. They have a financial advisor who wants to refer business to them. It was all a lie.

He is now trying to coach professionals on how to grow their business, but he will just lie and give you BS numbers until you sign up with him. Avoid avoid avoid doing any business with this conversation artist Dr. Len Schwartz

Glad I found the information here.

I'm a doctor, and Len Schwartz tried to sell me his done-for-you Market Domination Service. He was asking for $10k a month to generate leads, but wouldn't give me a concrete blueprint of what they were going to do, nor what kind of results could be expected.

I told him I wasn't interested. When I didn't sign up, he tried to pressure me by stating that another doctor was going to lock up my area.

I politely thanked him for the update two weeks later, and apparently "the other doctor" didn't signup or it was an outright lie, as he was oblivous to his previous statement and tried to sell me again.

The upshot...smells like a scam to me.

I'd be careful of using Dr. Len in the absence of any tangible proof that he has generates real results. I searched far and wide and couldn't find any.
