Missed call. No message left. No connections to Michigan.Try to return call and got strange noise. With all the other reports on this number, I'm assuming some sort of scam. BEWARE

Heavily accented man called 3 or 4 times and left message about lowering my interest rate.  Today I answered and after about 10 minutes when he said I had a 3500.00 balance I told him I didn't have a balance even close to that because I rarely use my card.  He hung up on me, but I had already given him some important information.  Called my bank and they told me that they had no one there making these calls.

If that person had a "Middle East" accent, it's a scam from Pakistan.

This number repeatedly calls. I do not know who this is. How do I BLOCK this caller.

This is a scam.  You can only call the number back to be removed from the call list.  I want to know who these scumbags are so I can call their offices and waster their time.

Called my cell phone, rang once, and hung up -- blocked now, thanks to the people who posted the info here!  :)

I was sitting in my dorm when this unwanted person/robot called me. I live in Missouri and the number was from Michigan. They did not leave a message, but I'm 100% sure it was a scam call.

Missed the call at work. Don't know anyone from MI but figured I'd google it just to be sure. Looks like I didn't miss much.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) — July 15  If credit card debt relief sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

A federal court has halted a nationwide debt relief telemarketing operation that the Federal Trade Commission and Florida’s attorney general’s office claim swindled millions of dollars from debt-laden consumers.

According to the complaint, the scammers called consumers with credit card debt and claimed to be able to negotiate with their credit card companies to lower their interest rates and save them thousands.

The complaint says the telemarketers operated under various fake business names and would sometimes claim to be affiliated with an individual’s lender, provided a license or badge number and told consumers they already knew how much debt the person carried.

Consumers were charged upfront fees during the call, ranging from around $500 to $1,500, they could save money by having their interest rates lowered, according to the FTC.

“Defendants rarely, if ever, provide the interest rate reductions and savings that they promise to consumers,” the complaint said.

The FTC claims the callers falsely pledged to return the fee if they weren’t able to secure a lower rate or savings, and that the scam has been going on since January 2013

First call from these scumbags, I'm sure it won't be the last.

Their ID said Survey. Yeah, right. Left no message. Blocked.

I didn't pick up the call and when it went to voice mail, they didn't leave a message.

Called my cell phone. Unrecognized numbers are never answered whether on my cell phone or house phone. No message left.  Number is now Blacklisted.

Missed call. they called twice within minutes.
