Home security survey...... re:scammer

Calls with a recording (illegal) so there already breaking the law,
and that means there a scammer.  These are the india people who are tied into the credit card scam, irs scam, there the same people these so called home security scammers.

Crooks called multiple times.

Showed up as a +269 so it appears to be a false  id, no answer. Block them

Getting all these damn calls out of the area can some one tell me how to stop this please

David called. Asked if I would use a home security system if was free. I said very politely that I would if there wasn't a monthly charge. He said, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry."

I told him that he should be sorry, he really should. He hung up before I could explain that he should be sorry because he's making illegal calls to people on the FTC No Call List. Here's hoping that he will find a decent job instead of working for a scammer.

I've tried different things. At first I asked them to remove my number from their list. But I still kept getting calls from them.

For a while I stopped answering and then checked the voice-mail once a day to see if there were any from people I wanted to get back to. Unfortunately that didn't reduce the level of calls from over 100 per month (as indicated by my phone records) either.

Lately I'm answering all the calls, and politely stringing the callers on for as long as possible. After getting them going for a while, I try to get a call back number or some other identifying information. There is a $500 fine for illegal telemarketing calls so they don't want to give that out.

It seems like since I've gone this route, the number of calls is going down. They won't bother to remove you from their list if you ask, but if you waste a lot of their time and raise the possibility of $500 fines, it gives them a reason to stop calling you.

What's with this crap?   Where is our common sense and this stupid "political correct" junk that has totally gotten out of hand by not prosecuting these people/countries continuously calling us?  .  The US government and the WHITE HOUSE should be able to immediately stop these repeated and useless calls AND the callers.   .  Obama would rather be sticking his nose in something else that  he should not be instead of doing something that would be useful to all of us "WE THE PEOPLE". in America.

Has called twice today.  Won't answer because it comes in unknown.

I'm going to answer when they call again today...the caller ID says .. security.... I'm going to say "oh good your security, can you tell me where to hide the bodies?

When I answer there's nothing for 10s and then it drops. I called back and got an intro that said I could save on 3-in-1 home security service then I got someone with a heavy Indian accent who said he would take me off the list after I asked. I'm not holding my breath.

Said he was with all state insurance.

Callers with this nature could be stopped  They call many times do not say anything and then hang up

Just got a call on my cell.  Didn't recognize number but just talked to my credit card company and thought they might be calling back.  Said his name was Anthony from Allstate Security.  Not sure if it was a recording or not.  Told him to take me of the list and I hung up.

Two calls today, silence when you pick up. Number is on Do Not Call (DNC) list; P.S. Any person who blames a president for the DNC list not being enforced is a moron.

Got a robo call from this number said they were Allstate Security and were offering a free security system if I was the home owner. I answered yes to all questions just to get to a real person.  (Not that I am interested in their offer, but my goal is to waste as much of their time as I can, if everybody wasted their time AND DID NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM, they would go out of business.)  I was transferred to a guy who asked again if I was the home owner and I said yes, what is your name?  He said John and he said “I see you are on the do not call list”, (I suspect I gave away my motive when I asked his name), and I said yes. He said thanks for wasting my time and hung up.

YES, string them along and waste their time, excellent strategy.  This is the only way I can figure to fight back.  And it really pisses them off! But if you do this you have to agree to NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM OR GIVE THEM ANY VALUABLE INFORMATION.  I thought asking for their phone number was a good strategy but the gives away your motive and they are quick to hangup. But if everybody just wasted a couple of minutes of their time it would really bit into their effectiveness. The want you to hang up quick if you’re not interested to they can keep searching for the sucker.
