In the case of the phone call I received last night, they could have found the information by typing one name into a search engine and looking at the third entry -- it took me 30 seconds.  Something didn't seem right about this call.

Calls my number after I have told them to stop calling me....not their guy!

This number appears as NATL CITY BANK (now PNC Bank) on my caller ID.  They have called 3 times asking about a neighbor i don't know.  I've taken their call each time because they're MY bank.  This bank appears to be intentionally calling one customer about another customer for collection purposes.  It's an egregious practice.  After thinking about it, i've decided that if they want/need to call me about MY account, the branch can do that.  This number is now permanently blocked.  Shame on you PNC!!

Just got called by this number today. Still said it was PNC Bank from Kalamazoo...but when I pressed #5 to get me to "any other inquiries" it said that the number was no longer legitimately in operation and that I could reach them at a new number which the voice proceeded to say. Odd.

By the way, didn't pick up the first time...had to call the number back.

I was getting calls from this number 4 -5 times a day for a credit card bill my ex wife had.  I finally had it and I went to www.StopHarassing.me and got a new number that stopped the collector calls.  These debt collectors don't understand when you tell them to stop!

on my caller id this comes up as PNC bank when i say hello i never get a reply then the line disconnects very, very, annoying

Depending on the state you live in it's not against the law to call neighbors or relatives in pursuit of a deliquent account.

(269) 973-4000 -- The Caller ID lists this number as National City Bank.  National City Bank has not been around for quite some time.  They are now PNC.  I spoke to PNC and they have no idea who this is.  I do not have an account with them, and have come to the conclusion that it must be some sort of phishing scam.  If you do not want them to continue calling you, either block their number from your phone or contact your phone company and they should be able to walk you through on how to block the phone number from your phone.  I hope this helps somebody......

Just got a call claiming to be PNC Bank asking about suspicious purchases on my card.

got a call, claiming to be from PNC bank.. I deleted their voice mail, because they don't have this phone number. This is most likely some kind of scam. ignore them

I got a call from this number.  Called back and answer prompt said that it was PNC Operations center.  The caller ID said National City Bank. Went through the options and selected #5. The answer said the number was no longer in operation. then told to call an 877# number that was said to be "temporarily out of service"
We don't do business with either of thses banks and never have.

just received a call from 269-973-4000 asking for a neighbor of mine, asked how they got my number and they said it was in the computer. find that hard to believe as my number is a cell phone. plus I dont know who this women is.

Caller identified himself and said he was from PNC Bank, said he was trying to reach my ex-brother-in-law.  Did not give any info.

Just got a call from this number and came here. Kinda shocked to see posts from five years ago about it.

Didn't answer and they didn't leave a message. Only came up on my phone as from Kalamazoo, Mich.

I got a call this morning from this # caller ID said it was PCN. I didn't answer when I heard them ask for my deceased wife.
