ID says Kids Wish Network. No message.

Caller ID say its from Kids Wish Network - when i picked up no one on the other end - probably checking to see if this is a real phone number for scammers.

First time I've gotten a call from this ID "Kids Wish Network", but I normally get tons of calls weekly from phishing and scamming callers and this area code 270 comes from many of them. I would guess this is not a legit outfit. I do not trust them, and I will not donate to any organization over the phone whether they might be truthful or not... Once they get your number in their system and as a donor they will share and sell it out and you will be harassed unbelievably.

I received three "out of area" calls just minutes before this one came through. The other 3 were blocked by my phone because they had blocked their number. I didn't answer and they hung up on the machine without leaving a message. I think all 4 are the same caller and once they realized the first 3 calls were being blocked they used a number that had an ID with it (KIDS WISH NTWRK) I've never heard of this group before but they received a low score of 28 on the Charity Navigator, also the number they called from is out of Kentucky but their organization is suppose to be from Florida, it appears as though they have hired out to one of those telemarketing firms to solicit donations for them, huge mistake in my opinion, they will call you repeatedly-daily seeking donations for every group that hires them.

12:28 PM Telephone runged! Answered​! No response! Nothing was ever said back to me! *69 the call! It gave this number!

My mother got a call and used her credit card for 20.00 dollars . I think I must report to the credit co. and have a new card sent

Looked this up. Looks Like a scam to me.  Kids Wish Network is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions. It has been the subject of negative publicity throughout its history, including accusations of trademark infringement, tax avoidance and inefficient fundraising practices. It was named "the worst charity in the nation" in a 2013 review of charities with wasteful spending practices.

Obviously they're counting on their marks confusing them with the reputable Make-a-Wish Foundation.

a women called me earlier today & has called me several times in the past each time asking for donations to help children in need & ask me to donate a gift of 50.00 to 100.00
When I said no I am sorry this caller continued speaking over me raising her voice louder & louder to speak over me, I said NO DO YOU UNDERSTAND "ENGLISH" I said I can not afford to donate anything right now I am disabled & on a limited income & then the caller says oh well we understand would a smaller gift be better for you, I said No again, & tried to tell this women to stop calling my number & she kept speaking over top of Me I said
You are a Scam & NO I DO NOT WISH TO DONATE EVEN A PENNY TO A LOW LIFE SCAMMER!!!
