This number called a few minutes ago and the caller ID said, "LOCAL". I'm sure they were hoping I would just see "LOCAL", and just answer it automatically. I realized that it was not a local number and I didn't answer it. If people would stop answering it automatically, and get their moneys worth out of the caller ID that many have, these scammers would dry up and blow away.

Shows up as Kentucky on my phone, didn't answer. No message...hate these!

I says Press 1 to be connected with a Blue Cross Blue Shield representative or Press 2 to be placed on a "Do not call" list.

Found this number in my call logs, I wasn't around to answer it.
The caller hung up without leaving a message.
The 270 area code is about a thousand miles from where I live. Not very local.

Never press 1 to be connected or 2 to disconnect.  that only shows them your number is a working number.  If it's important enough they will leave a message.

I got a call from 270-883-5387 and I never answer calls that I don't recognize the phone number, if It's important the caller will leave a message.  Never press 1 to be connected to the call, or 2 to disconnect.  If We all stick together this will stop.

I keep getting unwanted calls from this number

Constant caller. No message. Message machine, ringers shut off, we don't answer the phone. No defense against all these unwanted phone calls.

This is number 33 after I started to research health care. They did not leave a message.

I got a call from this number, we got disconnected some how and when I tried to call back it was not a working number. Phoney health care number.

No one HAS 'Do Not Call'

The Do Not Call list is a list of registered numbers that legitimate telemarketers can purchase.

Criminals do not abide by the laws, so therefore, any company calling individuals on the Do Not Call list is probably not legitimate.

A call blocker might be your best bet. You can google them to find one that fits your needs and budget.

I had the same thing happen...at its worst, I was receiving over 50 unwanted phone calls EVERY DAY. It happens when you look into the Obamacare marketplace. You look into getting help with insurance, and instead they put you on a telemarketing list. Call blocking is the most useful thing ever invented...I block each and every one of em. They may use other numbers to call again, but hopefully they'll run out of new ones eventually...lol. This has helped decrease the phone calls that actually get through to only 2 or 3 per month.
