I keep receiving the same exact message from this number-- even when I answer to try to scare the scammer away from calling me, it's never a real person. How do I make the calls stop? I have gotten about 5 calls this week.

Just received similar message. I called back and there were people laughing in the background. I told the guy to get a real Fu#$ing job instead of trying to fu$# people over... He says sir I have a real job and it's FUC%ing people over. These guys need to be stopped! I could see a poor older couple thinking this is real!

My brother received the same call and was worried.  He called me right away.  I told him it's a scam because, as a tax attorney, we get alerts from the IRS regarding these things.  I wouldn't call them back, you never know, they could be hackers.  Below is an excerpt from the IRS website.

    The IRS will never:
•Call to demand immediate payment, nor will the agency call about taxes owed without first having mailed you a bill.
•Demand that you pay taxes without giving you the opportunity to question or appeal the amount they say you owe.
•Require you to use a specific payment method for your taxes, such as a prepaid debit card.
•Ask for credit or debit card numbers over the phone.
•Threaten to bring in local police or other law-enforcement groups to have you arrested for not paying.

If you get a phone call from someone claiming to be from the IRS and asking for money, here’s what you should do:
•If you know you owe taxes or think you might owe, call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040. The IRS workers can help you with a payment issue.
•If you know you don’t owe taxes or have no reason to believe that you do, report the incident to the TIGTA at 1-800-366-4484 or at www.tigta.gov.
•If you’ve been targeted by this scam, also contact the Federal Trade Commission and use their “FTC Complaint Assistant” at FTC.gov. Please add "&quotIRS" Telephone "Scam&quot" to the comments of your complaint.

Got the same call 3 times. Called Shawn White (who had a very heavy Indian accent) and told him I knew he was trying to scam people and that I would be reporting him to the IRS  as soon as I hung up. He replied, "Well,Sweetie, f**k you" to which I replied "f**k you too"! I immediately went on line and filed a report with the US Dept. of Treasury. Guess he lost his place on who he had contacted because he actually called me AGAIN!  After that I blocked the number. Hope they nail his butt to the wall.
