This number called my landline and I pressed accept on my fax machine; when they hung up cancel fax.
Seconds later the phone rings again showing my home number on caller ID.

Was expecting a call so I answered.  The robo call said they are giving out FREE (OMG FREE) medical alerts to save all those over 65 from injuries from falls.  BS free.  BS calling me.

"YOU ARE A TELEMARKETER, AND I DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH ANY COMPANY THAT USES TELEMARKETING AS A FORM OF ADVERTISING".

DON'T ANSWER UNKNOWN CALLS (If it turns out that you did not answer a call from someone you know, number not on this great web site, just call them back).

DON’T HAVE YOUR NUMBER REMOVED! (When you press the number to have your number removed, you confirm that your number is a working number and your known active number is sold to another scammer).

ROBO CALLS: There are 800 area codes with 9,999,999 numbers. Since Robots call every number in succession, they don't need to buy lists from anyone. The FTC receives 250,000 to 300,000 complaints per month, with robocalls responsible for around 60% of those complaints.

TO TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR HOME PHONE: block, use call forward selective, or save calls to a phone address book as spam with a description (spam medical, spam alert, spam microsoft), and continue using this great site for information. Not only that but reputable charitable organizations don't solicit donations by phone.

After reading through all these comments, I blocked the number.

Call looked like it was from Tomball but this says Baytown, tx. Left no message. I am blocking this number.

To block these morons just Google "how to block a call". Especially easy to do on a cell phone. Just Google "how to block a call on my iPhone" or whatever type phone you have. Easy peasy and we get rid of these intruders that we never asked to call us in the first place.

We got the call but no message.

I did not answer the call as had no name only the number as the name.

Someone from the number 1-281-205-8938 keeps calling, and then when I answer there is only silence on the other end. The caller remains silent until I hang up on who ever it is.

281-205-8938 is a scam - block it if you can.  I have blocked 6 different callers which is the limit I can block.

Woohoo I qualify for a 'free' medic alert system and a 'free' prescription card.  Yay.

Second Robocall in 10 minutes.  No one on the other end of the line

Since I know many people in Tomball Tx I answered the call. Guy trying to give away a free medical alert button to me and my wife since we are over 65 years of age, in response to a sweepstakes entry form I filled out. Uh...... I don't think so! Not that old yet and we don't give out our number or fill out such stuff. He wanted to argue it is NOT a scam and they've been in business since 1977. If calling in response to something I filled out, wouldn't he have my name and not have to ask to whom he was speaking?

If you know people in Tomball, check with them to see if they're familiar with the '205' exchange.  I believe you'll find there is no such exchange in the 281 Area Code.  It is a 'SPOOVED' number!  My PC program identified it and two other exchanges in 281 as spoofed numbers as well....  They are 119 and 525.  Solution - Block all 281 calls from those exchanges.  IT is a SCAM!

My phone rang 4 times and stopped. I will not answer calls I DO NOT KNOW. I hardly ever get a unknown call any more.

Aug. 2015, they're still in the business of calling people constantly, they called me this morning. Block them. Google "how to block a call on an iPhone" or Samsung or whatever you have. Step by step directions will tell you how to block this loser company and any other one that's harassing you. Your landline has the same options usually; Suddenlink offers call blocking. Panasonic sells a phone with the ability to block calls. We have to stop this nonsense since they won't respect our request to stop calling. The Do Not Call list is a total waste of time.

It's another one of those "Help I've fallen and can't get up!" marketing scams for devices.....

PESTS that wake up people on THEIR paid line then HANG UP on recorder
instead of sending their JUNK via USPS mail.
I hope the employer goes broke paying for such nonsense "helpers" and all of them get etiquette classes (I predict "F"s for them all)
