I got a call from (281) 893-0622 at 10:55 a.m. on a Tuesday.  The caller ID says it's Steve Whatley of Bammel TX.  The phone rang once and they hung up.  Googling his name and location brought me here, where they have apparently been calling from various numbers.  It's now blocked.

exactly, I got a call again from this number over and over again, It was very annoying to have this so often.
Just want to share here.

just got the same call from this phone number. I returned the call and it said the same thing. total scam

Got the 281-397-0089 call today, didn't answer it. I might have, but it was inconvenient at the time.  
Googled the number & it is like a rash. I installed Call Control on my phone & blacklisted the number, which also ads it into the national blacklist. So in a way it spurred me to take counter measures.
