Received a call from this number at about 7:52 pm on 2/14/14...Caller ID said SSI...really?
I have an unlisted phone number & SSI certainly does not have it

281-747-1050 rang in at 2:36 pm on 2/15/14

Caller ID showed "Porter TX".  

One beep and nothing more.

Received a  call at 8:01pm . No one  said anything. Just held the phone and hung up.

Have been getting calls all week from this number.  It shows it is from SSI.  I have my number on the no call list and they are still calling.  Really.  I never pick up.  They never leave a message.

5 calls today.  I think SSI has something to do with Social Security.  Until they leave a message, screw them.

They call and don't talk.  

Called 3 times today. It has to be a phone bank because I kept saying, "hello" and then someone finally answered and wanted to conduct a survey. I asked them not to call again.

Received 3 calls on 6/22, 1 thus far today. I don't answer &no message is left.

It is a survey.  I told them to remove my number and hung up.  Let's see if they do.

Our company received three calls within 20 minutes from this company, requesting to talk to the owner (who wasn't in the office), asking for any other number that the owner can be reached for an important business matter.  I could hear the other telemarketers/collectors (not really sure what kind of company it is) in the background, but the fact that they called from two different phone numbers and wouldn't leave a message, made it obvious that this was shady.

called and said they want to conduct a survey about business. I told them I was at work and couldn't talk.

We have received many calls from this tel. no.  281 747 1050 ...  It must be a phone number bank because my wife has answered and no one would talk.   Today I dialed the number and a recorder answered that it was   SSI  A SURVEY COMPANY AND THAT THIS WAS A GOOD WAY TO BE HEARD....

It should be illegal to be able to use a name like SSI anyways.  Always know this one thing, the Social Security Administration does not solicit, so this is not them.

Called tonight almost 9pm with SSI caller ID. Of course SSI would not phone me, and of course I did not answer, and of course they left no message.

SSI is a survey telemarketer, so yes they might have called you.  They are not associated with SSA which is the social Security Administration.

Keep getting phone calls from this number caller ID shows SSI we do not answer the phone and no message is ever left so they might as well quit calling as they will never get an answer  so quit wasting your time calling.

SSI = Survey Sampling International  They do market research and opinion polls for a variety of customers and have call centers in several states and foreign countries. They are not required to screen against the Do Not Call list before calling. Calls are made by a computer and only forwarded to an agent if a live answer is detected so none of their time is wasted by now answers and your number just goes back into the queue to be called again. Unfortunately, they apparently do not have their system set up to permit the agents to place your number on their internal DNC list since your number is not displayed to the agent when you respond. You have to go to their website to opt out of future calls.
