its not a scam its a debt collection agency. just be cool talk to them...they called me and thought i was someone else. they are doing their job just like you do so deal with it dont be a di*&

Recovery company, I called them back, rep politely asked me if there was a "Mark" associated with this number,  "no Mark here", he thanked me, promised to remove my number from the file and apologized for any inconvenience.   Very professional and courteous.

Not my first time with this sort of thing as I used to own a rental property and a lot of the tenants wind up in collection for something.  Get calls looking for people who rented years after I sold it, suppose they call anyone who has any type of ownership history of the property.

Absolutely shady company! Called, (said calls recorded) asked how to get a hold of ..... (not me). I didn't know who this person was. Caller told me I was listed as Emergency contact for said person & something happened that he needed to be informed of & he'd want to know about it. They cannot get a hold of him.... Asked if they were sure my name & number were the correct info for the emergency contact. He gave my full name including middle name & repeated my number & once again stated this person listed me as the #1 emergency contact. Bothered me very much thinking some one that listed me as an emergency contact & I couldn't think of who the person even was. Hours later realized the said person who is sought had bought a house I sold years ago. I have had 3 telephone number changes since then. This company used me & misrepresented the information to get a hold of the buyer of my old house > 10 yrs ago. Shady.... Shame on you company & representative!!! Disgusted I spent hours of my night distraught thinking someone who thought I was trusted to be an emergency contact was in need only to find out this company is just a shady collector using my information from the sale of a home to find someone for collection. SHAME on YOU!

called home inquiring about a neighbor from a former home address; inquiring about job status for husband and wife and what they did for a living

they called me but left no message the caller ID said "novolinktest"  maybe a collector??

A woman called from this number looking for my boss. I truthfully told her the boss was unavailable and I didn't know when to try calling back. the caller asked me to leave a message to call 866-582-4085 extension 9430, which according to this site is the number for United Recovery Systems.

Caller Id for this number showed "TEXAS CALL"

The lady who called said - This call IS being recorded ! (Not for quality purpose, not "May" be recorded !!) then asked for some name !
Either some marketer or Debt Collector. Waste of time....I was on another important call.

Based on the dates of previous posts, it looks like United Recovery (or whoever they are) is back using this number again. Be forewarned.

ID said 'Unassigned'. No message. No debt. Blocked.

The man called and said that we were being recorded and asked if we knew our brother and sister-in-law which of course we do. He also asked if we had any phone numbers for them we replied the same phone number that you already have and he replied that he didn't have any phone numbers for them. So he said sorry we're not giving you a phone number for something that we know nothing about. Looks like it must be a collection agency but I don't get that involved in family or friends of financial problems.

Scam Scammer

The search engine that I use shows it as "United Recovery," a collection agency.  They called several times under various numbers, but never leave a message.  Evidently, United Recovery has these numbers:

713-458-3418 (Caller ID said “United Recovery”)

281-901-6991 (called 2 more times the next day.  Caller ID stated “Houston, TX” 1st time; “NovoLeakTest” 2nd time).

281-819-4037 (called once 5 days later.  Caller ID stated “NovoLeakTest” which links it to the 281-901-6991 number above)

I pay all of my bills on time and have no outstanding debt.  They may be trying to get info about someone.  I put these numbers on call block.

CALLER ID said:  Novoinktest...some lady asked for Barabara Myers.  Never heard of her, doesn't work in this office.  She said, this is the number she was given to contact this person.  Well...sorry lady...never heard of Barb Myers.

Hung up when I answered. Some type of scam or robocall.

CID says NOVOLINKTEST. Caller rang home landline. We let call go to voice mail. No message.
