I live close to Ashton Number is now blocked.

Recorded message from your "local carpet cleaning company". It's noting but one of those junk telemarketers.

Called cell.  "my local Carpet cleaners"

Hang up, no message

Called, hung up, didn't leave message. Called back, number disconnected. Scam

(illegal) robocall.  "...this is YOUR local (no name) carpet cleaning company.  Press 1 now for a FREE ESTIMATE, or press 9 to be removed from our list..."  Unless someone has been incommunicado in a cave for years, they know that pressing ANY button(s) only serves one purpose - to tell their computer that there is a live person who answers your number.  I don't know about anyone else, but I don't "do business" with anyone who will not identify themselves, nor with anyone who hides behind robocalls.  According to my local (Washington, D.C.) news, Congress is right on the verge of passing legislation to outlaw, or severely restrict, these annoying robocalls.  It can't happen soon enough for me !  Looks like help may be on the way !!!

Call came in on May 22, 2017 at 3:23 PM with the Caller ID showing:  "301-658-2206 Sandy Spring MD".  I have no idea who lives there so I didn't bother to answer.

Called 1035 AM.  I did not pick up.

I did not answer the call-  now blocked

There is an Interesting twist regarding a call I received from this number a few minutes ago.  My calling plan has 4 sequential numbers and all four phones rang at the same time.

Call came in at 7:04 PM on Monday, June 12, 2017 with the Caller ID showing:  301-658-2205 Sandy Spring MD".  I didn't bother to answer,

Called my cellphone on 6/14/2017 at 9:30 AM and as uaual, no VM was left.  Since no VM was left,  the call wasn't important to begin with.  The number has been blocked permanently.

Hung up no message

Called both home and cell. No msg left. Called back and it sounded like a fax machine. Block the number.

Called again, 4 PM.  I did not pick up.

These scammers called again at 6:29 PM on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 with the Caller ID showing:  "301-658-2206 SANDY SPRING MD".  I didn't bother to answer.  The phone stopped ringing after about 5 or so rings.

No message left, but it came up telemarketer (I have the app for iphone called Call Protect.
