My 15 year old son received a call from 301-750-2718 claiming to be from the IRS demanding payment.

This is a scam

This is scam. I received it multiple times today

Scam:  They said they was going to “suspend” my SSN for suspicious activity.  Also asked if I’ve been contacted by my local authorities.  That clued me in !  STAY ALERT !!!

I just received the same voicemail from the same number.

first part of message was garbled.   Second part said to call to avoid legal action.
Deleted the voicemail .

Just received a call from this number stating the above comments. They target older folks and young folks, in order to gain monetary gains such as, to avoid the said legal action, they will demand gift cards of a high monetary value. Don’t fall for it.

Said they would suspend my SSN if i didn't send them all the money in my checking acct. I has to stay on the phone or they would freeze my phone, checking account and other threats.

Calling my cell multiple times: each time with a slightly different number. No message.
