Phone rang at 2:49 PM on May 25, 2017 with the Caller ID showing:  "EMP MD".  I answered with:  "TELEMARKETERS ARE NOT WELCOME!  DO YOU GET IT?!?!?"  After several seconds of silence, they hung up.

called my cell and no one there when i picked up.  maybe a robo-call?

Didn't answer. Left no message.

Called house phone twice, back to back as if it was an emergency.

Caller ID said Emp MD. Strange. Didn't pick up. No message left.

Saw one report elsewhere as credit card interest lowering scammer

Maryland number, and Telemarketers must register with the Secretary of State as a solicitor.

Maryland has its own laws in addition to Feds, and the phone # is Maryland
So if someone here picks up and confirms what they are doing, a call to the MD Secretary of state to find out if they registered with the State may have some effect if they didn't

Called requested to speak to me by name. From. Maryland Empowerment. When questioned became nasty so I hung up saying I wasn't interested.

This number comes across CID as "EMP MD", but it should say "scam-of-the-day".  Another site has people identifying this number with the old IRS scam, the extended car warranty scam, and the old home security system scam.  In other words, they change the scam to whatever suites them on any particular day.  Somebody needs to do something about these lowlife criminals, but I ain't hold'n my breath!!

Just received 2 calls back to back from this number. Didn't answer/No message left

They called.  They got blocked.  If a message is not left by anyone that calls me, automatic block!!  Thank you Panasonic for a call block phone!!!!

12/15 CID 'v2163384000021 (Friendsville MD) - several rings, no msg - typical robo call - from above posts some type of scam call - recommend block if possible
