Caller ID says AT&T, but nobody leave a message. When I look it up, I get other possibilities. Probably spoofed.

Man called from this number claiming to be from DirecTV/ATT, claiming to offer 90 days free of premium channels (or something). I said I wasn't interested, then the man said something about a $75 gift card for being a long time customer? Weird! Then the line went staticy and ended. I reported it to DirecTV/ATT customer service, they said this scam has been going on for several months. CALL RECIPIENTS BEWARE.

I got a call last night. DIRECTV is always offering me free channels so I agreed to the 3 months of free HBO. The man that called had a foreign accent. Recommended some movies and signed me up.
Luckily he did not ask me for any personal info because I really thought I was talking to a DIRECTV rep. Checked the tv this morning and there was no HBO. Called to inquire why and was told there is no record of them calling me. The Rep reminded me that DIRECTV will NEVER ask you for any personal information unless I call THEM. If they call me and someone asks for information it is more than likely a scammer. Thank God they didn't ask me anything because I probably would have given it to them.
