FAKE CALL..

what do yo mean fake call?

credit consolidation automated message. non descript "Your account" warning that your credit is about to be hurt or revoked in an effort for you to press "1" to be connected with a representitive. No idea what the angle is.

I hung up.

ya its spam, no specifics, just a consolidation company.

called saying they've sent me many notices, and this is my final notice before they close my account. Went on to say I have the opportunity to lower my interest rates on credit cards. said press 1 for customer service. I pressed 1. The person answered (no hello) "are you interested in lowering your credit card interest rate?". I responded with "you say you've sent me notifications and you will close my account soon. Who are you and what account of mine do you have?" conveniently the call disconnected at that point. I tried calling back and got a "in our database", then call disconnected again. Awesome.

I've been getting a call from them everyday for the last week.  I called back today.."Are you interested in lowering your credit card interest rates?"..."No, I am not! I want you to stop calling me and take me off of your list."...(click).  Tried calling back, but I also get the "in our database" message and click.  Hopefully, that's it.

thanks, they called my 13 yr old on her cell, she thought someone stole her identity.  Thanks for clearing it up.

I got a call from them yesterday. Just as described above. When I asked who she was she hung up. I assume this is someone stealing credit card information so I reported them to the FBI.

Anyone know who you can report numbers like these to.  I sleep days and work nights so It's very irritating to get woke up for nonsense like this.  It's obvious from other postings that asking to be taken off their list won't work.  Is there a federal agency to report stuff like this to?  I consider this a harassing call.

Answered call and got notified that if I was interested in lowering my credit card rate, this was my last notification. I hung up.

This is a Telemarketer. I've ask them over 5 time to remove me from there list. They call from a (503) area code also.
When you asking them to remove your number they wont they just hang up and call you a couple of days later.

I asked for supervisior several times and got hung up on immediately.
Next time I am going to give them a bunch of fake info and keep them on the line as long as possible.
You have to owe more than $5000.

DON"T GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION! They asked me for my Social Security Number (which I did NOT give them) and for both my home phone number and my cell phone number.  They keep calling my cell phone.  Whoever it is, it's a scam!  Don't fall for it!!!

By the way, when I got to the part where I got to a "real" person and told them to take me off their list, they hung up on me!

This past week I have received a phone call on my cell for the following numbers:
(302) -232-3096
(517) 931-2044
(630)207-6834.

I have not answered any of them because I did not recognize the number. They did not leave a message. Did a search on all 3 of these numbers, and when people did answer or call these numbers back they found out they are phishing for personal information. Do not answer. Do not call them back. And sure as hell do not give them any valid personal information if you do!

They just called my work cell phone. Caller ID said "Delaware". It started off with "hi my name is" but I didn't catch the name because you could tell it was a recording and then said she was calling from "cardholder services". Once I heard that I hung up. It's a bogus call because its my work cell phone and my company doesn't give me a credit card so no reason cardholder services would be calling me. This isn't the first time. They call like every few months and from the looks of everyone reporting here, it's that time again. I tried calling the number back and got a recording saying "in database" then the call ends.
