Started calling recently out of the blue. Never leaves messages.  Caller id reports PCR INC. Google says the are debt collectors often related to IRS or student loan debts (or scams) But we have never had either. PCR seems to stand for pioneer credit recovery.  Prior to getting all these calls and googling them I'd never heard of them. As such I'm assuming they are attempting to run some sort of scam. They are blocked from ringing now and sent to voice-mail but they never have left any messages. So their attempts to constantly call seem pointless.

Debt collectors do not leave messages for various legal reasons. If this is indeed that company it is very easy to stop the calls permanently. Otherwise you'll be blocking hundreds of phone numbers. By the way they also collect other debt.
