Very threatening message about my SSN being investigated and that they should be called back before I will be arrested and have to go before the magistrate. We don't have magistrates here; we call them judges. These scam calls are getting more and more intimidating, especially for the elderly.

Just got one also. Researched the number online and it doesn't belong to the SSA or IRS. It's a scam.

Recorded call - informing me that I need to return their call, or face possible criminal charges and be forced to appear before a magistrate.  Said to avoid being arrested,
I need to return their call.

Who stops these scammers?  What are they allowed to

Just got the call. Very threatening to those that don't know better. Scam 100%!!
Remember the IRS will mail you, never call, if there is an issue.

These calls are very scary to receive, o wish there wad some way to trace them and  punish tge people who are making them. You would hope thst people would have better things to do, especially around tge holidays, than to make threatening, harassing phone calls like these .

Call purporting to be SSA, references collection, magistrate, call back before an arrest...

Left message. Same call. Pretty sad a person can't answer their phone now without recognizing the number first, and that's no guarantee it won't be one of these scammers.

I just got the same call a few minutes ago and previously today about 5 hours ago.

Got same call to call the above 302 #
I called 302# and gentleman with thick accent answered and I said don’t believe this SSN call, what do u want?
He wanted my actual SS#, so I said bye bye and googled to here..

I received the call and message a couple hours ago. Already tagged as Scam Likely by my phone providr, though.

Why don’t FBI investigate these fraud calls and arrest them. They milk money from Elserly Folks.

That they do, however, you're likely dealing with a foreign con artist. There's nothing saying this number is not spoofed, either, making it even harder to catch.~I Was Prepared~JustinCase

same as previous  SS threat with jail etc.  call back immediately.  Tried calling 2 days after -no ringing -no message out of service etc. ???

got same call about SSN Fraud and to call back I wasn't home but they left on message machine ,they assumed it was me picking up so left there speal.... what a scam to try and get your ssn and then commit some fraud with it.....

I had the same message on my answering machine, knew it was a scam.  I googled the number hoping I could report the number.  The Federal government is not going to call you on the phone and especially not using an automated recording, this is an attempt to get your SS number and other information to go with it, Please do not verify any information about yourself...just do not call the number back
