Giving away a free two-night cruise

Just called left no message. Needless to say the phone is in the NO-CALL data base - (for what that is worth).

I am filing a complaint with the National DNC List.  You all should do the same so that they don't get away with calling people on a National List that says they are not allowed to.  So unethical!

You people are as thick as I've ever heard!  You really think this is a telemarketer trying to GIVE you a cruise?  It's Portfolio Recovery!!!!  They want money any way, legal or not.  Received a black and white copy of a letter last week.  No return address and a scratchy image, in black, of American Airlines as letter head.  It was so obvious who and what was sending the letter.  Portfolio has been calling 2+ years on old, old charge card.  They have increased the original balance by approximately $4,000.00 and now seem to think I should give them money rather than original card holder, "they charged it off so now you owe us"!  Not sure what planet they may be from to think that has any chance of happening.  Over ten years, original $300.00 balance, might see if card holder wants $300. but sure won't give port. rec. a dime.  Buy the way the letter wanting you to call them to claim your prize is an attempt to get you to call them as I refuse to take their calls which come in hundreds of caller ID's.  Gift Survey is another scam title.

I try to get to a representative and keep them on the line as long as possible.  I'll start talking about my testicles or ask them out to dinner etc.  They really don't have a sense of humor for such things.


Love that idea!  Going to do that myself...and being female that will REALLY freak them out  ;-)

I agree that no call register is a joke...so tired of receiving calls...when they call because I am not on a call plan...they use up 25 cents each time...in coming/outgoing...bunch of crap

Third time they've called my work number.  

Finally got everyone in my department to call them at one time (42 people).  Simply tried to tie up their switchboard all afternoon.

I do not owe anything to anyone . I do not want any scammers calling either !

Received a call from this number. I didn't answer and no message was left. Sure wish there was a way to prevent these calls from happening because now if I don't recognize a number I don't answer it and I can't help but think someday I will not answer a legitimate important call.

Same here, but someone gave that caller a job to due, great way to keep the tax money circulating

Did not leave a message. Did a seach and this came up as won a cruise. Do not call me.

What I do when I get call like this is add them to the reject option on my cell. So when they call my

cell it automaticly blocks the call.
