Got a call from a Head hunter, but It sounds fishy.  Does anyone know who is connected to this number?

I got the same call today. What sounds fishy to you?

I have gotten 4 calls from different people from this number - they say they saw my resume on Monster but they never say what company they are with and when you call the number, all you get is a generic phone mail.  Sounds like a boiler room type set up.

Unidentified solicitor stating they are recruiting / looking at resumes, leave the phone number, first names only, generic voice mail box.

John/Joe Crosby called saying they found a resume on Monster, and wanting to setup phone call with an executive recruiter. I asked for a website that I could review and a call back number - he provided his number and www.jobchangenow.com. When you go to the website, its a one page flash site with no information on it about the company -- that makes it immediately suspicious that its not legitimate. Real companies have real websites.

got the same rap as everyone else . . . caller was clearly reading off a script . . .

I got the same call as everyone. Message was from "IRWIN" who saw my resume on Monster, and wanted to talk to me. No one does that today frankly, without getting into some detail, other then 'I saw your resume'. Fraud as far as I concerned.
