- VG| 1 replyI actually talked to someone at WFB and they suck! I told the woman I will not pay late fees on stuff that I had not received and there was a refund in process she said it did not matter still had to pay for the late fees. Cause the account was active and there had been charges to the account even though they were being reversed. This is outrageous.......Terrible customer service and rude! I will not pay for something I don't have and on top of that late fees seriously they should have sent it to the right account.

- VG replies to VGCorrection...they should have sent the merch to the right address to start off.
- 303-255-5083I have been receiving calls from this number nonstop for a week. I have no idea who they are.
- ODEEYes, I've gotten calls from the following numbers: 303-255-5128, 303-255-5083, 913-563-5525 and 913-563-5507. What really irks me is that I have privacy manager, which blocks calls, but there's something about these stupid numbers. No matter what I do, they RING my phone, even though I have them set up to NOT ring it, so whoever is running this SCAM, it finds a way to break through my call blocker.
What I find interesting, is that there is a family in my building with the same last name. They have awful credit. The reason that I know this is that their sister lived next door to me and was put out several years ago and even then, she was behind MONTHS in her rent. Her mother still lives here and one of her grown sons and his son lives with her. I've received called asking for them and sometimes their mail is put in my box by mistake, so I guess that's why I'm getting the calls, as I have excellent credit and owe no backpayments whatsoever.
If should be illegal for credit agencies to just get someone's number and harrass them, even though they're not the right person and if it's a SCAM or whatever, I don't answer it but I end up having to delete numerous voicemails. Unfortunately my provider, RCN has this strange voicemail that kicks in when that stupid machine dialer calls me and it into "Please hang up and try your call again" and then BEEEPPPPPPP for two f***** minutes!!!
Whoever is behind this needs to be SHOT!- Caller: ADS/WFNNB
- mad sonMy mother is 85 years old and liveing in a asisted liveing home, with some age related mental problems.
some one from blair sent her what they said was her free gift certificate for free jewlery, then they singed her up for jewlery to be sent to her at over $60 per month plus a buyer club membership.
My wife and I have power of attoney too take care of her finances, so we spent over 3hr on the phone trying to streighten it out. no one would talk to us, we sent everything back and a registered letter explaining it to their main office.
Now we are getting at least three calls a day from this number , most of the time there is no one there and the time that I did have some one to talk to they wanted to talk to my mother I told them that the would have to talk to me, but they wont to talk to my mother or they are treating to sue her.
I would hate to think that I was such a worthless pease of crap that I would have to work for a place like that.
If they continue they are going to be faceing the biggist lawsuit they have ever seen.- Caller: WFNNB - BLAIR

- msleadfoot59World Financial Network National Bank, for Lane Bryant, Chadwicks, Roamans, Silhouettes, and a host of other credit cards. I am behind, so I'm not surprised that they're calling, and yes, they do use several different numbers to throw you off, so I always Google the number.

- Former Collector Who Knows| 1 replyThe Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act requires debt collectors and debt collection companies to identify themselves, and to identify themselves as debt collectors, up front, so they should be required to provide a real company name and the fact that they are a Debt Collector on Caller ID when they call, but only a few do. The Federal Trade Commission should be doing more to enforce the law against this often abusive industry. Their use of different names such as ADS and World Financial Network National Bank, etc., also appears to violate this federal law.
If this is an actual nationally chartered bank, with several similar sounding names which is one of the things that make that questionable, I have not been able to verify their actual existence as such or the location of their real executive offices as distinguished from collection boiler rooms. It appears to specialize in questionable debt and abusive charges. It will be interesting to see what the newly created federal Consumer Protection Agency, which will be operated within the Federal Reserve, with which all real national banks are affiliated, does about abuses, but Obama has not yet announced its head and it is not yet up and running.
Don't waste call blocking slots, because the collectors have lots of lines and will quickly use up your available blocking. Get Caller ID, which is cheap, and just don’t answer anyone you don’t want to talk to.
Never answer a collection call, or any other call from anyone you don't know and who does not identify themselves fully both on Caller ID and at the beginning of the call. As they say on cop shows, "Anything you say can and will be used against you." Don’t return their calls, and especially not on your unlisted cell phone. One particular thing you should NEVER do is to acknowledge owing, or promise or make even the smallest payment, on an old debt because many of these are barred by the applicable Statute of Limitations and they are trying to trick you into reaffirming them and starting the clock all over again. If you answer a call and there is no live person on the phone, etc., hang up immediately without saying anything. Like the Devil, about all they can really do is lie and threaten. Many will threaten to take actions which are prohibited by your state constitution and laws, or by federal law, such as seizing homesteads, cars, and pets protected from seizure, or wage garnishment, prohibited here in Texas. If you are subsisting on SSI or SSDI, Social Security, etc., those funds are protected from seizure under federal and state laws. It is also illegal to threaten to sue unless they are actually authorized and intend to do so. The Attorney general of Texas recently busted some for threatening actions illegal in Texas against Texas residents. A lot are buying up actual or alleged debts so old you can win any suit on a plea of the statute of limitations, for pennies on the dollar, and trying to brow-beat, threaten, and defraud debtors into reaffirming them.
Collectors are among the lowest forms of life. I've been one and known many others.- Caller: ADS, World Fin., etc.

- REM replies to Former Collector Who KnowsJust pay your bills. They are legit. My wife has an Avenue card and these people collect debts of people that haven't paid their bill ontime. We have been late in the past and they call to collect. Just pay your bill and they will stop calling.
- wowIts Bealls they are also known as Palas Royal, sorry if the spelling is wrong, dont have my credit card handy, anyways, yes, they will call you all day long and then some. I have had a hard time keeping my bill up recently due to the suicide of my father and missing work to deal with family issues, and I have told them this, and they dont care, I have never been late paying them, I got credit increases every 6 months, but, now, when I am late due to family reasons, they dont care. As a matter of fact, since I was late 3 months in a row, they took all of my credit from me. So, I tell them as soon as I get everything back on track, I will be able to get you back on track, until then, I will pay what I can.

- Viatororis| 1 replyI've seen a lot of people who have gotten calls from the "World Financial Bank" (WFFNB) complaining that they are on the "Do-not call list" or that they "don't owe anything" or worse, believing that it's some type of phone scam, and this is a big problem. For starters they are a legitimate company and hold the credit for quite a few store charge cards, so it is not a scam and they are not held to the restrictions of the "Do-not call list". If they are calling you, it could be an honest mistake on their part or you owe them money. Also note that store charge cards are easy to acquire in other people's names in the form of identity theft, so someone might be out there running up a debt in your name, ignoring it is only going hurt you and your credit score.

- irratated4/16/2012 This number is World Financial and they are the bank that represents my Maurices Credit Card. I am literally (due to some unfortunate circumstances)well, my invoice was due on 3/27/2012 and they have called my phone at least 10 to 15 times a day and it does not matter what time it is. The phone starts at 8am and doesn't stop until around 11pm. I receive calls from 614-212-7553/614-212-7504/614-729-6813, 913-563-5521/913-563-5503, 303-255-5083/303-255-5040. Now all of these numbers call at least 10 to 15 times individually. This is absolutely crazy. I have already paid my bill but these people started calling my home even before the bill was due. I really don't think it's worth having a credit card that is going to call your home before the bill is due. To call so many times, I am glad that I do not have any kids at home to answer the phone.

- KateThis is World Financial Network National Bank like most of you have said. It's not a scam. Companies use this bank most likely if you have a credit card through that store. For example, I have a Maurices and Lane Bryant credit card and they both use this bank. So it's not a scam.

- SteveI buy things at Hot Topic, they are the only store that has my number and I keep getting calls from this number and another similar number.
- UnKnownThis number texted me after several calls on my cell phone.
they advertise that they have consolidation loans for Pay Day loans to lower interest rates and payments.
I texted STOP and pray they stop... this is so annoying. - Stop the madnessI am getting calls from 303-255-5083 and 913-563-5503. I called back from work and the numbers belong to some place called Commitity (sp) Capital. The options give you a list of many stores and only one that I heard I have ever dealt with. I hung up after the options were done. I believe these are both scams. I am on the do not call list and wish I knew how to get them to stop calling.
- Caller: Commitity (sp) Capital
- SammieThis # is World Financial Bank and is likely tied to a credit card for a store. In my case it is Maurices. I made the payment online but immediately afterward the browser shut down. If the caller had left a message I would have known sooner that the payment didn't go through. And the fact that they were calling at 9:00 at night kinda freaked me out. I decided to go ahead and wait on the line and got it all worked out. This organization also makes calls from a 614 area code. So if you're getting calls from 303 and 614 area codes, it's very likely a store card you have.
