Hey, thanks for that great advice, however, I'm certain you know the receiver getting these calls ACTUALLY OWES something. Even those who do NOT owe anything aren't exempt from being called by con artists. A thief takes what they can get, so you're assuming the poster owes may be wrong.~I Was Prepared~JustinCase

I received a call from this number 303-255-5354, not a number I recognize so I let it go to voicemail figured it was a telemarketer but they left voicemail. The caller identified herself as Specialist Jones with an urgent message for my ex-wife which I have been divorced from for over 21 years. I did not even have this phone number when we were married and my number is from a different state, how the heck did they get my number. I don't want to get involved, this is a personal matter between them which I am not a party of. I would call them but I am afraid it will just cause them to call me more. I just don't know why they are connecting me with this. I am not a cosigner on anything for my ex, I do not see how they made the connection between us and I do not want to give them any reason to think there is a connection between us.

These people called our son in law’s cell  for a account my husband owes.  We tried to
Make payment arrangements and they refused.  Idk how they got our son in laws number.  Very annoying but we don’t know what to do.  They were also calling my daughters cell 8-10 times a day

Keep getting calls from this number. I checked my credit report and have no past due credit cards. Just in case, I went on line and cancelled all of my department store credit cards so they can't be hacked.

Left a message about tax shelter on Snake Island that I could take advantage of. Some guy named Penny from Comenity or comedy bank.  He sounded slick like a real banker so I think it was real.

Received msg from some lady that sounds like a robot says i need to take care of a critical matter and that she is documenting message left. Does not specify regarding what and I don't care. Definately a scam that's why I blocked the number.

I called them back and they said they’re “commedity?” Or something like that. No idea who and why they call me day in and day out. It’s ridiculous!

U should try replies to Adam
reading past the first post made in 2008. u would then learn who is calling and why and what to do about it.

“Ms Pryor” called to “kindly” let me know that my account has reached her desk after several attempts and if I dont contact her today it may escalate off her desk. She was documenting that she contacted me.

Never gave the name of where she was calling from. I have no outstanding/unpaid debts and have absolutley NO store credit cards. Also, she never said what the “attempts” were?  Collecting a debt?  She never said anything. *blocked now*

This is supposedly Comenity Bank, have no idea why they are calling, have never done business with them o heard of them. We owe nothing and they call here asking for someone I have never heard of. It's a goofy name, sounds made-up. We have had this number for decades, so goofy name has never lived here.

Called my cell phone at 5:45 am (waking me up) and left a voicemail asking for someone who does not and never has lived here.  Even if the person did live here and owed a debt, it is illegal to call that early.  I called back the number they left and spoke with a Miss Howard, and explained that it was probably a mistake.  She was apologetic and said she would update her records and that I would not receive any more calls, but just to make sure I blocked the number.

The call was from Comenity Bank, in my case, Kay Jewelers.  I owed a third of my balance in late fees and they waived them all by making a payment arrangement for the rest of the balance.  It was hard on my wallet, but they did work with me, even after I avoided them for months.  If you are in a position to work out something and it's a valid debt, it might be worth speaking to them... especially, right now during the Covid thing.  Simply my experience today.  Be well.
