Potential Debt Caller. Mentions they are from I.R.I. but doesn't explain what it stands for.

had a call from this guy who wouldn't identify himself only that he was looking for another person not me....

This seems like a scammer to me, beware.  The caller claimed to represent the Colorado IRS and knew my name and phone number, but nothing else.  He asked me for my current address and SSN which is a huge red flag.  Never give your personal information out!

caller looking for ex husband from 30 yrs prior , redialed, caller answered as Matt

caller asked for relative who passed away last year.  Would not reveal why other than it was a personal matter. Possibly a scammer or identity theft  guy looking for info on deceased.

All caller would say it is a personal business matter and only discuss with a person not at home when he called. Said his name was Matt Taylor, would not give company name.

They are the collection agency that works with the state of Colorado for tax collection. The guy is Matt Taylor. I have a payment plan with them and they seem to be pretty reasonable to deal with. I think it's called Integrated Recovery or something like that.

Integral Recoveries is one of the Collection agencies  used by the Colorado Department of Revenue to collect taxes.

Just because  Integral Recoveries is contacting you, does not mean the debt is legitimate

Before any account would be sent to collections, there would be a paper trail.  You would have received some sort of billing statement from the State.

This may be a scam.  Contact the Colorado State Department of Revenue  (303) 205-8411.

I've been called with legitimate debt from IRI before, but this call was from Matt Taylor, no information other than the call and a request to call back.
no paper trail and I know I do not have colorado state taxes debt.

Received a call at 8:30am. Matt was rude and belligerent. Said he was calling about official business then rambled off the last four digits of my phone number and then ssn. I asked him who he worked for and he started yelling at me. When I asked him to stop and to spell the name of his company he hung up on me. Within a few hours I had multiple identify theft/fishing texts. Matt has been reported to the ftc and authorities. 100% this guy is a scammer. I do not live in Colorado, but just vacationed there last week.

Matt Taylor call and left his name and number nothing else, called back to see if I could figure out what the company needed, they kept asking my name I kept asking what is your company name. they said I owe over $400 in taxes. I called the Colorado IRS. they have nothing, somehow this company got all my sensitive information.

Scammed. I was on a payment plan with Colorado Dept Revenue. Paid like clockwork. These people called, identified me, identified I was on a payment plan with the state, told me it lapsed and if I made payment arrangements with them I wouldn't get garnished. So I did. I also stopped logging into the Colorado Dept Revenue site and doing my monthly with them because why should I?? I'm now on a payment plan with YOUR collection agency. So.... the money they took never made it to Colorado Dept Rev, so NOW I AM BEING GARNISHED and these crooks took $600 of my money! SCAM. BEWARE.

Dept Collector representing state of Colorado, Call is being recorded and they have my address and some of my SSN, said they sent me a notice, but haven't received anything!

Claimed his name was James Taylor contacting regarding a business matter and required me to give my social security number before he would elaborate. I felt very uncomfortable and stated that I had been getting a lot of scam calls and felt uncomfortable. I believe this was a debt collector trying to get info about my ex husband's delinquent accounts that I am not responsible for. I strongly urge anyone getting calls to not give out Social Security info or any other info regarding personal info due to potential harassment use.
