this number randomly will call me between 8am-9am, and won’t leave a voicemail

This number randomly calls me and never leaves a voicemail.

Same as the previous posters said.... randomly started getting calls from this number about 2 weeks ago. They call about 2-3 times per week but never leave a voicemail 😑

They call you and if you do not answer/respond, they call anyone connected to you (your family). Trust me. Both of my parents got a call from this number and so did I. As other posters said, they never leave a voicemail.

They always say "My name is Name calling on a recorded line, may I speak too Michael Lastname?."
When i ask who it is, they never answer. He always says "I will tell Michael Lastname, its an important matter" They refuse to identify what they want.

A poster above listed this as a call from "Wakefield & Associates".  They are a medical debt collector.

They are most likely trying to collect on a debt owed by the man they asked for.  The paperwork they have for that debt (and there is no telling how old the debt is) has a phone number listed as that man's number.  They called thinking that they were going to reach that man.  They do not know that man turned the number back to the phone company and that it was reassigned to a woman when you requested a phone number.

You do not mention how you handled the call (if you just hung up indignant that they asked for a man, or of you told them that the number did not belong to that man), but you can expect more calls from them again asking for that man because debt collectors are relentless and they are infamous for not believing people when they tell the collector that they have the wrong number.
You will need to send them a letter via the Postal Service (Certified mail with a signed delivery receipt) telling them that the number no longer belongs to that man and that they are to stop calling.
