My favorite line in the spiel is "This is the first and final attempt to.." and they have called me 4 times today alone.  I don't have a block ability on my phone which is rather strange and even when I do hit ignore and reject they still are able to leave voice messages (which seems counterproductive to reject a call if they are still leaving voice messages).  I did go the website and placed a claim but not sure I filled out the right form or what since it is confusing at best to know which one to file.  I'm not wasting my time or money to call them back when they obviously aren't going to listen to anything we have to say.  I'll just keep ignoring/rejecting the calls and let them fill up my voicemail with stupid vapid calls and then hopefully they will disappear.  E :)

I am receiving these calls but the person contacting me is Patrick Johnson. Fraud and check division. They tell me press one to speak to someone about this matter, so I do and all their representatives are busy taking other calls! I was worried I had done something wrong but obviously it's a scam. Thanks for everyone's comments. I will just ignore these calls :)

I received a call on Monday and Tuesday. Same  line. I knew right away it was a scam considering I have no debt, period! Oddly, on Saturday, I signed up for a hallmark rewards card. Coincidence, maybe, I did give my number. Anyway, I called them back and began..."I know this is a scam, do not call 2-0-7...and they hung up! Imagine, lol! Maybe that's what it will take is a flood of harassing calls to them, fill up their voice mail with after hours calls. Bahahaha! Makes me laugh just thinking about it! Thanks to you who have given the other #s that you have received calls from. I'll be looking for them. Game is ON!!! Bahahaha

I got calls like this and I live in Indiana.  I was finally able to get in contact with someone at the state Attorney General's office and was told there is nothing they can do, my best course of action is to just screen unknown callers and then block them using my phone.  That is a frustrating and unsatisfactory answer, but what can you do?  These people are scum of the highest order and the best plan is to simply ignore them?  Oh well, who the hell cares right?

Julie Hayman uses a new # 720-458-9694 didn't answer went to vm and she left her scripted threatening msg. as usual.

Keep reporting this scam to your local authorities, federal law enforcement, donotcall.gov complaints section.

It is a total fraud scam seeking your ss #, dob, home address and credit card information.

No legit firm threatens with felony arrests based on a tel # when they do not even know the tel # parties name they are calling.

Its a game of dialing for dollars hoping to find suckers.

Block the tel #'s and do not answer unknown calls.

They must be spoofing companies numbers since each number requires them to sign up with another carrier or pay a fee to obtain a new #
I have 22 numbers of theirs blocked now
I dont answer, click on click off to lock in their number to be blocked

Maybe the other poster is correct, just call back their numbers, fill their vms up with empty dead sound or radio playing on their vm to lock them down.
Thats a good idea, call them back, play the radio next to the phone for an hr and fill their system, same as crashing a network overload their circuits.

Everytime anyone gets called with a new # that has not been posted we should post the # so others can block them before they get call and annoyed.
Legally this is aggravated harassment a Misd A in NYS punishable by 1 yr in jail for each time called and each new #.
Every state has aggravated harassment statutes where you get unwanted calls that annoy harass or threaten you and place you in fear of your personal safety.

Have received several phones call over the past few weeks, threatening to take legal action.  While the caller does give a name I noticed that the same voice uses a different name on different dates.  Never identify whom they wish to speak with.

Spoke with CO Atty Gens Office Tel Fraud Div

They investigated and they report that the calls are not coming from CO but from overseas.

They suggest: 1) Never call them back  2) Block the calls after they come in  3) Let calls go to VM if # is not recognizable 4) Contact the federal law enforcement since they have the jurisdiction to go after overseas ID theft issues  5) Go on the DONOTCALL.gov website and register each call with the complaint section and detail the fraud 6) Post all info so others are aware on many sources

I received a call this morning from 303-565-5762 and the lady must have forgotten that she called herself Ms. Buyers when she called me on Wednesday. She stated today her name is Investigator Brandy Barnes calling from Fraud & Workman Check Unit the other day she called it was Legal Mediation firm. She stated she spoke with me the other day and I didn’t confirm that I had sent the 700+ she was asking me to send Money Gram only. I told her I know this was fraud and she needs to stick to one name she’s been Julie Hyman, Ms. Buyers & now Brandy Barnes. I told her if this was a legitimate claim I would have received notification via my home adds that I’ve been at for 5+ yrs. She stated this is our final attempt to contact you regarding an open case we have here involving your name and as well as your social.  I asked her to verify my ss# and she couldn’t.
The address that she quoted was from 2006 adds the email adds was an email adds deleted in 2006.
She never had my current adds nor email adds.
When I told her I was going to report her to the Attorney General of Colorado she hung up on me.

I spoke with a rep from Attorney Gen office of Colorado and she stated they have been getting a lot of complaints about this company and they are looking into it.

Received another call today again a different # This time he claims to be Artie Johnson a licensed private investigator "Very interesting"-Artie Johnson was a comic on the 1970's show Laugh In so this again has to be a joke
A lic private investigator- now they are using fraudulent lic information and threats

CO Atty Gen has received calls over this and they seem to not care at all when the calls are coming from their state
maybe they need to get off the marijuana and contact the feds for assistance since the calls are coming across state lines.
They are not foreign calls the accents are too good and it is only a series of 3 diff voices so its not a boiler room

I checked and found that this problem is listed all over the internet by countless persons with all numbers listed going back yrs Same dialogue, same voices, same accents.
I received call today claiming to also be a private investigator seeking to collect a fraud loan
I do not have any loans.
They do not have my name, address just a cell phone number which is has been in use on that number for 10 yrs without incident.

I beg to differ.  Other blogs have them listed through a telephone company and location in CO
They should be contacting that tel company to pull the numbers or get a subp to access the buyers of those numbers
They do NOT care. Are they too stoned in CO to care?
The CO Atty Gen Office should get off there rears and start working on this problem.
DONOTCALL.gov is just a pacifying website set up by the feds to make you feel good that you told them about the problems.  Nothing is done there either.  Typical govt fraud against the public making us believe they are working for their taxpayer salaries, same as the CO Atty Gen Office.
Its time we all buy a blocking app for our phones for a few dollars to see if they work on full area code blocking since all calls come from 303 and 720 area codes - Thats CO madame Atty Gen.

Colorado Attorney Gens Office doesnt care.  They are doing nothing when they have the numbers, can trace the numbers to the tel company providing these numbers and shut the numbers off and or shut down the tel company for participating in this fraud against innocent people with cell phones.
I believe the CO Atty Gens Office is sitting in their offices smoking pot as the entire state is in one strng burnt out stupor.

I received A FEW calls from this number & HAVE BEEN receiving calls for weeks now!!! A couple weeks ago, the recording was from a mild manored african~amercian man with a southern draw, yet he's calling from Colorado, right?!? Now some ho named Julie Hyman, though these A'holes could say they're Bugs F'n Bunny = what's it matter?!? I have filed NUMEROUS complaints with the FTC & they're almost to the point of saying "Oh, it's you again", yet the same [***] keeps happening from the same numbers, so I don't know if they're actually catching up with these perps or what, but I have copied & pasted "ANON's" post from June 15th, 2015 since it shows the EXACT verbage used as well as the address to file a complaint with the Colorada Attouney General.

You know, I must say that I am NOT a violent person, nor have I EVER hit a woman in my life, but if this b***h would ever knock at my door attempting this = I would have NO Problem sending her off to meet her maker!!!
Apparently the Fed's "Do Not Call" list is a damn JOKE as well, but that's merely MY opinion.

Received identical calls from this number on 5/15 & 5/17 and they left a voicemail BOTH times:

My name is Julie Hyman calling from the Legal Mediation Firm. This is our final attempt to contact you regarding an open case we have here involving your name and as well as your social

This is an urgent phone call and your last opportunity to resolve this matter voluntarily without action being taken place against you. Please give me a call immediately at 303.565.5762

This appeared to be an obvious payday loan scam. I called back and allowed them to go through their script. They threatened me by saying that i was facing two felony charged for fraud and malicious intent to defraud a financial institution. When questioned, they had little information other than what is on their "affidavit" and that they were representing a client "Equity Funding."  After allowing them to finish, i asked them what I could do to remedy the situation.

At that point, they said there may be nothing but that they would contact their client to see if they would allow me to resolve the issue today and prevent charges from being filed. After an acceptable amount of time waiting, they asked me whether I wanted them to transfer me to their "client" to make payment arrangements, or if i wanted them to file their report. I told them that I wanted their "client" to send me verification of the debt via mail to which they agreed, but added that it was unlikely it would reach me before charges were filed. They added that f this goes to court, that the burden of evidence will be on me to defend myself.

Not able to hold myself back any longer I had to correct them. If there was a legitimate debt, their "client" could go about legal process to collect on the debt, but that I also had a right to demand proof of the debt in writing. I also pointed out that in a criminal trial, the burden of proof is on the prosecution and not the defendant.

In the end I informed them that I had received several such calls from different numbers, but always with the same script and talking points. I asked that they not call me again, and they hung up before I could let them know that I was, once again, filing a complaint with the Attorney General of Colorado.

Caller: Legal Mediation Firm, Ron Hager and Associates

received threats of being charged with felonies for fraud charges . wanted me to send them 800.00 by today or face charges against me . I received many calls dating from 4/15 up to the present date. A Julie Hymes and a Archie Johnston
left threats  on my answering machine. They also will not give any info on where or who this company is or who they are collecting a debt for.

Also received a call indicating the felony fraud activities with my name, phone number, and social. They then inquired for this info.  I refused and asked questions were she quickly stated the name of organization and state -as if she did not want me to hear it?  She became frustrated and hung up.  I received a total of 6 calls.  On the last call, I informed (to their dismay) they had contacted a govt agency and that if this was a personally directed at me to forward to my home address on file and I would have my legal counsel review.  I also informed them that I reported to the BBB and the Colorado Attorney General as well as my state.  They hung up and I have not received a call back.  Below is my response from Colorado AG office:

We are in receipt of your complaint regarding the above collection agency/debt collector. This collection agency/debt collector cannot legitimately engage in any type of debt collection activity in Colorado because it does not have a valid license. Also, be aware that there are debt collection scams that are going on nationwide and we don’t want you to become a target or victim of these scams.

Therefore, we are advising you not to give in to any possible threats or intimidation that this collection agency or debt collector may use in pressuring you to pay the alleged debt. Likewise, do not provide them with any of your personal or financial information, do not pay them any money, and if you already made payment, contact your bank or credit card company to have the payment voided or close your account.

Your complaint will be reviewed and you will be notified of the results.

I received the same call(s). Same people, Different names and phone numbers. So far I have a Brandie Barns, and  Brandy Buyers. First call was on 9/23/15 from 678-712-4059. I let it go to voicemail, bc I don't answer calls I don't know about. She said the same thing, I had 4 counts of felony charges on a payday loan I didnt pay from 2013. I assured her that I didnt have a clue what she was referring to and she went on to say that they have sent notification to my home and email. I told her I didnt get any of that and she said good luck I will mark that you are refusing to pay and hung up. Scared and confused I called back and said what do I need to do to resolve this and she said I had to pay $687 and that because I was cooperating  they would break it up for me into 3 payments. I told her I needed time to get the money together and to try and figure out what to do. This was at 4:30 pm she gave me until 8 am the next morning but I had to call back by then or she was going to move forward with the charges. FREAKING OUT! I scrambled the money together and called her the next day, she said I could pay by check or pay by money-gram, thtat they prefer money-gram because they've had too many people have issues with checking accounts.
I went and paid the money, (stupid, I know). Then got to thinking I never had any payday loans in 2013. Furious, I called the same number back and it was no longer working. So I was going to ignore it, lesson learned file the claims with money-gram and go about my life.

Well, last friday I get a call from 404-465-3447, from Brandi Byers saying that I didnt make my second payment and I had to make it by 2pm est. or else. Well I called back, a lady picked up saying "Legal Mediation" I asked for their address and they hung up, I called back a man picked up, I again ask for their address he gets defensive and asks for my name which I refused to give until I get the address, he then says he can't release that to an unknown caller. I ask again and then he interrupts me saying that he searched my phone number and I do not have any case with that phone number with their company. Only, it was the same phone number that they have been calling and me and leaving messages on and the same number that they used to confirm they got the first payment. So I said GREAT! and we hung up. I called back a third time for good measure and the lady picked up, I again asked for the address and she doesn't say anything just hangs up.

So, I reaffirmed myself that this was a scam, reported it to the Federal Trade Commission, and to my State Attorney Generals office in Alabama, and called it a day.

Today, I get a call again from Brandy Byers saying that my payment was due Friday and she MUST hear from me TODAY, and to remember that all of our conversations have been recorded and that she was not going to call me back again( thinking to myself YES!) But again, the stuff she said did make it sound scary and I got all nervous again although she was stumbling all over her words. I called back stating I was the Attorney representing the client and that we needed to get their address. Brandy refused, she said that She needed my Bar number and a letter from the client (me) stating I was being represented by an Attorney. I responded ok, not a problem I will be more than happy to have my client email you that documentation, I just need to get your address for her to do so. Brandy got irate, and said that bc I was a lawyer I should know how it works and Good luck to us bc someone has filed a merchant file again me.

I called my County DA's office worthless check division, the guy said that yes it was a scam and to hold on to all my notes and calls, and to NOT GIVE THEM ANYMORE MONEY!  SO I blocked their number on my phone and screen shot the calls and saved the voicemails.

PLEASE DO NOT BE SCARED INTO PAYING THESE PEOPLE, DEEP DOWN I KNEW THIS WAS A SCAM BUT I FELL FOR IT ANYWAYS!
